Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA) seeks to recognize excellence in the diverse practices of landscape architecture. Landscape Architects are encouraged to submit their best professional work for review by the 2020 BSLA Awards Program Jury. Projects should demonstrate excellence and reflect the careful stewardship, wise planning, and artful design of our cultural and natural environment. IFLA AAPME Awards 2020 – “GLOBAL CALL FOR RESILIENCE” is a global award initiated by the IFLA Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East (AAPME) regions. In 2018, the first AAPME Award – Resilience by Design – was organised by the IFLA Asia Pacific region and co-chaired by the three IFLA regional presidents. It was an international award for landscape design and planning recognition for resilience that was open to all IFLA regions and practitioners around the world for projects within the Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

The Jellicoe Award recognises living landscape architects whose achievements and contributions have had a unique and lasting impact on the welfare of society and the environment and on the promotion of the profession of landscape architecture.The award is bestowed annually on individuals whose work and achievements inspire landscape architects around the world.
The annual award is open to landscape architects throughout the world. The nominee must be an academic, or practitioner, whose merit, talent and actions are respected internationally. Accomplishments may be in landscape planning, design or management; improvement in the quality of human settlements or environments; or landscape architectural education.

IFLA2020 International Student Design Competition – The International Landscape Architecture Student Design Competition is organised as part of the 57th IFLA World Congress, World Landscape Architects Summit 2020 event. Jointly organised by the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM), International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying (FBES), and the Department of Landscape Architecture, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The Design Competition promotes the evolution of landscape architecture through education.
THEME: URBAN LANDSCAPES IN FUTURE TENSE – CREATING A FUN & FUNCTIONAL FUTURE
The competition challenges students to explore urban landscapes by adopting a problem-based approach in relation to the current global issues such as climate change, food security, agriculture, natural disaster and etc.
The proposed ideas should include the concept that has the value of “representational, communicational and motivational functions”, while tackling unsustainable practices and problems manifested in the urban landscapes.
The most appropriate approaches and techniques should be applied to the creation of novel spaces and the improvement of their management, leading towards a meaningful and sustainable approach.
