象界设计机构：亚洲第一大河长江孕育并滋养了中华文明，见证了数千年的经济发展和历史。伴随着三峡工程，防洪堤坝上的重庆涪陵滨江路已经存在了近20年。如今，城市市民迫切希望滨江路能再次成为城市的活力源泉，思考他们与江水之间的关系。在整个2公里长的沿线上一些防汛墙被打开，多种形态的滨江场地得以重新构建，原本割裂的底层商铺和二层平台也变得更加有联系。黄桷树、码头、拆除的墙体等场地上原有的记忆，在设计中都获得了新生。而科学的植物配置、雨水的渗透滞留处理、低维护材料的使用也体现了我们对生态可持续性的思考。与此同时，作为市民休闲娱乐的重要场所，观江平台、健身设施、木座椅等设施被创新的设计其中。当然，作为城市的记忆载体，多个标志性的公共艺术也将继续展示这座城市的热情和开放。
XJ Design：The Yangtze River, Asia’s largest river, has nurtured and nourished Chinese civilization and witnessed thousands of years of economic development and history. Along with the Three Gorges Project, Chongqing’s Fuling Riverside Road on the Levees has existed for nearly 20 years. Today, citizens are eager to see Riverside Road become a source of vitality for the city once again, and think about their relationship with the river. Along the entire 2-kilometre stretch, flood walls have been opened, various forms of riverside sites have been reconstructed, and the previously fragmented ground floor shops and the second floor platform have become more connected. The memories of the original site such as Ficus virens, piers, and demolished walls have been given a new lease of life in the design. Scientific plant configuration, rainwater infiltration and retention treatment, and the use of low-maintenance materials also reflect our thinking about ecological sustainability. At the same time, as an important place for citizens’ leisure and entertainment, facilities such as the river-watching platform, fitness facilities, and wooden seats have been innovatively designed. Of course, as the city’s memory carrier, several iconic public art installations will also continue to showcase the city’s enthusiasm and openness.

背景现状 Project Status
涪陵位于长江和乌江的交汇处，因乌江古称涪水，巴国先王陵墓多葬于此而得名。自古这里的人们在江边劳作、贸易、居住，涪陵母城便是从滨江开始。因为三峡工程库区蓄水防汛要求，城市沿着江边修建了堤坝。位于坝顶的滨江大道全长8.5公里，连接了长江大桥和乌江大桥。项目位于滨江大道中最为重要的一段，其西起图书馆，东至两江广场，中间还连通了白鹤梁历史博物馆，长约2.1公里，也正是母城所在。滨江大道为双向6车道城市快速路，内侧沿线分布多个社区住宅和公共商业。道路外侧是一个30米宽的滨江城市走廊，现状为外侧的5米高防汛墙架高而形成的双层使用空间，一层为沿街商铺和步道、绿化带，二层为露天观江平台。
Fuling is located at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Wujiang River, and is named because the Wujiang River was called Fushui in ancient times, and the king’s tombs of the Ba City-state were buried here. Since ancient times, people here have worked, traded and lived by the river, and the mother city of Fuling began from the riverside. Because of the requirements for water storage and flood control in the reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project, the city built Levees along the river. Located at the top of the Levees, Riverside Road is 8.5 kilometers long and connects the Yangtze River Bridge and the Wujiang Bridge. The project is located in the most important section of Riverside Road, which runs from the library in the west to Liangjiang Square in the east, and connects to the Baiheliang History Museum in the middle, which is about 2.1 kilometers long, and where the mother city is located. Riverside Road is a two-way 6-lane urban expressway, with multiple community residences and public businesses distributed along the inner side. The outside of the road is a 30-meter-wide riverside urban corridor, which is currently a double-storey space formed by the height of the 5-meter-high flood control wall on the outside, the first floor is the shops and trails along the street, and the green belt, and the second floor is an open-air river-watching platform.

一层的商铺背靠防汛墙朝向内街，整体功能上比较单一，缺乏景观配套设施，经过近20年的使用下来，已经比较残旧且处于闲置状态。二层通过少量的步道连接一层，沿线仅作为休闲步道，缺少与母亲河的联系与体验。滨江大道内侧经过多年的城市更新建设，现已经有大量的人群聚居于此，对于滨江开放空间的需求亟待提升。并且作为城市对外展示面，游客也需要从这里更好的体验和认识这座城市。随着三峡水库的合理使用，防汛墙原本的功能已经失效，却成为了阻挡人们亲近江水的最大障碍。城市管理者希望项目能摆脱老旧的形象，重现以往码头般的活力景象，成为市民休闲娱乐的好场所，为城市带来更多机遇。
The shops on the first floor are backed by a flood wall facing the inner street, and the overall function is relatively single, lacking landscape supporting facilities, and after nearly 20 years of use, it has been relatively dilapidated and idle. The second floor is connected to the first floor by a small number of trails, and the route is only used as a recreational trail, lacking the connection and experience with the mother river.After years of urban renewal and construction, a large number of people have gathered here on the inside of Riverside Road, and the demand for riverside open space needs to be improved. And as a showcase of the city, tourists also need to better experience and understand the city from here. With the rational use of the Three Gorges Reservoir, the original function of the flood control wall has failed, but it has become the biggest obstacle to people getting close to the river. City managers hope that the project will get rid of the old image, recreate the vitality of the past dock, become a good place for citizens to relax and recreation, and bring more opportunities to the city.

打破边界 Boundary Break
设计团队努力在方案中打破固有边界，原本的一层街道和车行道之间被厚重的绿化相隔，设计就重新梳理车行道跟公园的关系，重新规划了过街系统，打开多处防汛墙，增加与内侧道路的联系，疏通一、二层流线关系，这些努力为城市获得了宝贵的公共空间及对外展示面，人们可以更好的与长江进行互动。结合场地周边环境的固有属性以及建筑设计的功能形态，整个项目呈现出多种不同的风貌。高差及视线体验也变得丰富，人们可以从不同维度去体验。而作为重要的城市道路属性，设计重新整合了商业街道，观景步道，滨江跑道等三条连续的休闲廊道系统将这些场地连接起来，让它真正成为了一个城市具有活力与生命力的公园。
The design team’s efforts to break down inherent boundaries in the scheme, The original first-floor street and the driveway were separated by heavy greening. The design sorted out the relationship between the driveway and the park, and re-planned the crossing system, open multiple flood walls, increase the connection to the inner road, and dredge the first and second layers of the circulation relationship, these efforts have provided the city with valuable public space and external displays, and people can better interact with the Yangtze River. Combined with the inherent properties of the surrounding environment of the site and the functional form of the architectural design, the whole project presents a variety of different styles. The elevation and sight experience have also become rich, and people can experience it from different dimensions. As an important urban road attribute, the design reintegrates three continuous leisure corridor systems such as commercial streets, scenic trails, and riverside runways to connect these sites, making it truly a vibrant and vibrant park in the city.

观景步道有趣的穿插在一、二层及内外之间，休闲观景和购物观光可以有机的结合起来。二层现在有着商业用途和观景的双重功能，设计有效整合公共走廊和商业空间之间的联系，确保了公共和私密空间相互融合。旧的堤坝马道被拓宽成了滨江跑道，为城市带来青春与活力的多重载体。
The viewing trail is interestingly interspersed between the first and second floors and the inside and outside, and leisure viewing and shopping can be organically combined. The second floor now functions both commercial and viewing, and the design effectively integrates the connection between public corridors and commercial spaces, ensuring that public and private spaces blend together. The old levees path has been widened into a riverside runway, bringing youth and vitality to the city.

生物多样性 Diversity of Biodiversity
设计团队重新梳理植物种植区域的生态结构，设计团队用多样性的本土植物混种代替传统市政工程项目中单一种类的屏障式整型绿篱。减少后期植物的修剪维护投入的同时，还提高了植物的耐旱性。并在车行道与公园之间建立起雨水过滤花园，可持续排水系统可以净化汽车排放对水体带来的污染，植物营造的改变将为城市空间带来更亲切的空间氛围。
The design team rearranged the ecological structure of the plant planting area, replacing the single type of screen hedge used in traditional municipal engineering projects with a diverse mix of native plants. The drought tolerance of plants can be improved while reducing the investment in pruning and maintenance of plants in later period. The rainwater filtration garden between the driveway and the park, through a sustainable drainage system, can purify the pollution caused by vehicle emissions on the water, and the focus is on the changes created by the plants to bring a more intimate space atmosphere to the urban space.

生态可持续性 Ecologically Sustainable
因为是改造项目，地面广场原有的基底，已经做了硬化，设计团队没有办法改变现状，但在绿化带之间，挖通了串联的排水沟渠，为了更生态地解决地表雨水径流，设计团队提出优质的解决方案，大量减少暗沟，采用了雨水明沟，及下沉绿地等方式被整合进场地的设计中，并通过设计，使其成为景观水景的一部分，美观且实用。并且在场地中，团队大量使用了混凝土、耐候钢、石笼网这样低维护、耐用、可持续的材料来打造景观。低维护可持续性的设计为项目带来更好的经济效益和使用理念。
Because it is a renovation project, the original basement of the ground square has been hardened. The design team, while unable to change the status quo, dug a series of drainage ditches between the green belt, which can more ecologically solve the surface rainwater runoff. The designer proposed high-quality solutions, greatly reducing the underground ditches, and integrating rainwater ditches and sinking green Spaces into the design of the site. And through the design, make it become a part of the landscape water feature, beautiful and practical. In the site, the low maintenance sustainability of the design for the project to bring better economic benefits and use concept. The design makes extensive use of low-maintenance, durable and sustainable materials such as concrete, weathering steel and gabion mesh to create the landscape.

公共空间的人性关怀 Human concern in public space
人作为利用这个场地的主体，团队在设计中更加注重人的各种使用需求。整个沿线布置有丰富多样的桌椅设施，人们会以最放松的姿态在场地中享受生活。除了滨江跑道，场地中还设计了各类运动活动场所，儿童游乐，青少年运动，老年健身，每个年龄段的人都可以在场地中找到自己的位置。
As the main body of using this site, the team pays more attention to the various use needs of people in the design. There are a variety of tables and chairs along the entire route, and people will enjoy life in the venue in the most relaxed posture. In addition to the riverside runway, the venue is also designed with various sports activity venues, children’s play, youth sports, elderly fitness, and people of all ages can find their place in the venue.
