造源景观：给城市一次深呼吸，给心灵一次深呼吸。
ZYEEN: Give the city a deep breath, give the soul a deep breath.

第十三届中国(徐州)国际园林博览会于2022年11月在徐州开幕，是首次在中国地级市举办的国家级园博会，本届园博会以“绿色城市·美好生活”为主题，共设65个展园，深圳园规划位于园博会展区A13秀满华夏廊地块，面积约3100平方米，场地整体东高西低，背靠主园水溪，东临海山仙馆，高差小，坡度缓。经组委会组织专家评审，“深·呼吸”展园获得了室外展园设计专项竞赛最佳设计展园、室外展园植物配置专项竞赛最佳植物配置展园、室外展园综合竞赛优秀展园、园博会创新项目最佳园博会创新项目等6个奖项及2023年广东园林学会科学技术奖规划设计一等奖。
The 13th China (Xuzhou) International Garden Expo, the first national garden fair held in China’s prefecture-level cities, was opened in Xuzhou in November 2022. A total of 65 exhibition parks were set up in this garden fair with the theme of “Green city · Better life”, Shenzhen Park planning was located in the garden fair exhibition A13 Xiuman Huaxia Corridor plot in an area of about 3100 m2, the whole site was high in the east and low in the west. It was backed by the main garden Shuixi, and its east side was next to the sea and mountain fairy hall, with the small height difference and gentle slope. After the expert review organized by the organizing committee, the “Deep · Breathing” exhibition garden won 6 awards, including the Best Design Exhibition Garden in Outdoor Exhibition Garden Design Competition, the Best Plant Configuration Exhibition Garden in Outdoor Exhibition Garden Plant Configuration Special Competition, the Excellent Exhibition Garden in Outdoor Exhibition Garden Comprehensive Competition, and the Best Garden Expo Innovation Project in Garden Expo，as well as the First Prize of the Planning and Design of the Science and Technology Award of the Guangdong Society of Landscape Architecture for the year of 2023.

01 设计畅想 IMAGINATION OF DESIGN
设计以“深·呼吸”为立意主题，有感于深圳创建国家森林城市、千园之城与世界著名花城的建设历程，旨在呼吁人们建设绿色城市、打造美好生活。演绎共分为三层含义：
一是深呼吸可以释放内啡肽（快乐激素），使身体充满年轻活力；
二是空气清新、有树香、花香的优美环境会让人不由自主的“深呼吸”，使心灵得到自由和放松；
三是“深”既寓意“森林”的“森”也是“深圳”的“深”。
With the theme of “Deep · Breathing”, the design is inspired by the construction process of Shenzhen as a national forest city, a city with thousands gardens and a world-famous flower city. It aims to call on people to build a green city and create a better life. There are three deducted meanings:
（1）Deep Breathing can release endorphins (happy hormones), which can empower the youthful vitality of body;
（2）People could involuntarily take a “Deep Breath” for the beautiful environment with fresh air, tree fragrance and flower fragrance, so that their souls can be free and relaxed;
（3）”Deep” means not only the “tree” of “forest”, but also the “deep” (similar pronunciation of Shen in Chinese) of “Shenzhen”.
02 展园营造 CONSTRUCTION OF EXHIBITION GARDEN
展园布局从深圳“连生态、连生活、连生趣”的山海连城格局出发，以自然、绿色为基调，梦幻紫为点缀主题色；以抽象的生命细胞“呼吸泡”、红树林“呼吸根”及叶片“呼吸脉”为元素，以“S”形的呼吸步道为纽带，通过入口标识、呼吸水镜、深城镜面装置、树生态的雾森、呼吸肌理、深呼吸平台、呼吸涟漪、参数化呼吸构架的系列呈现，营造了花·自然、树·生态、人·美好三重空间序列。“深呼吸”为当地市民及游客诠释了深圳追求共生共建共享的美好生活，率先打造人与自然和谐共生的全球城市典范目标和愿景。
The layout of the exhibition park starts from “Connect to Ecology, Life, and Pleasures” of Shenzhen, with nature and green as the keynote, and dreamy purple as the theme color, with abstract life cells – “breathing bubbles”, mangrove – “breathing roots” and leaf – “breathing veins” as elements, and “S”-shaped Breathing Trails as links, through the entrance signs, Breathing Water Mirror, Shenzhen City Mirror Apparatus, Tree Ecological Fog Forest, Breathing Texture, Deep · Breathing Platform, Breathing Ripple, and Parametric Respiratory Framework. It created a threefold spatial sequence of Flowers & Nature, Trees & Ecology, and People & Beauty. “Deep Breathing” interprets the goal and vision of pursuing a better life of symbiosis, co-construction and sharing in Shenzhen, and take the lead in building a global model city model for harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature.

花 · 自然 FLOWER·NATURE
“一山一湾一河一景区，一路一谷一园一花展”，深圳已建成多个世界级花景，驻足深圳园入口，映入眼帘的是一片唯美梦幻的 “深呼吸”宿根花境，采用新宿根景观运动的自然式植物设计手法进行创新布置，以浅紫色系的宿根花卉及观赏草形成交织渐变之势，并结合入口标识，打造有风、有花、有草，会驿动会呼吸的简约时尚入口景观，展现深圳世界著名花城的形象，同时寓意深圳敢于创新、勇于开拓的精神。
“One mountain, one bay, one river, one scenic spot, one valley, one garden, one flower show”, Shenzhen has built a number of world-class flower landscapes. People stay at the entrance of Shenzhen Garden, a beautiful and dreamy “Deep · Breathing” perennial flower land can be visible by using the natural plant design techniques of New Perennial Landscape Movement for innovative layout, with light purple perennial flowers and ornamental grasses to form a trend of interweaving gradient, combined with the entrance logo, a windy, flowery, grass, simple and fashionable entrance landscape that will move and breathe can be created to show the image of Shenzhen as a world-famous flower city. Meanwhile, it implies Shenzhen’s spirit of courage to explore and innovate.

沿着呼吸步道深入，呼吸水镜、艺术呼吸雕塑、深城镜面装置、树生态的雾森、呼吸肌理、深呼吸平台、呼吸涟漪逐一呈现。
Working along the Breathing Trail, Breathing Water Mirror, Artistic Breathing Sculptures, Shenzhen City Mirror Apparatus, Tree Ecological Fog Forest, Breathing Texture, Deep · Breathing Platform, and Breathing Ripples are presented one by one.

呼吸水镜，以较宽的镜面水景及绿岛来展现深圳山城海相映的滨海城市特质；
Breathing Water Mirror, with a wide mirrored waterscape and green islands, demonstrates the characteristics of Shenzhen’s coastal city where is contrasting mountains, cities and seas;

深城镜面装置，采用深圳标志物建筑抽象化的剪影来抽象表达，以不锈钢抛光镜面蚀刻而成。通过光的反射之美，叙说了深圳创新与科技发展的故事，还可映射周边景观扩大空间，改变人们对场景的感知，获得瞬间的“重新发现”，为场地增添了许多动感和趣味。
Shenzhen City Mirror Apparatus is etched with stainless steel polished mirror to demonstrate the abstract expression of the abstract silhouette of Shenzhen’s landmark architecture. Through the beauty of light reflection, the stories of Shenzhen’s innovation and technological development are narrated. It can also map the surrounding landscape to expand the space, change people’s perception of the scene, and obtain an instant “rediscovery”, and add the plenty of dynamism and interest to the site.

穿过栈桥，树生态的雾森、呼吸肌理、深呼吸平台构成树林岛状呼吸湿地空间，云雾缭绕，人或行或停于其间，不由自主地深深呼吸。行至最深处，流线跌水缓缓、呼吸涟漪轻荡，令人身心愉悦，隐喻深圳以先行示范的标准让“森林走入城市、城市拥抱森林”，展现人与自然和谐共生、宜居宜业宜游的城市魅力。
After crossing the Trestle Bridge, the Tree Ecological Fog Forest, Breathing Texture, and Deep · Breathing Platform constitutes the island-shape breathing wetland space of the forest, with clouds and mist shrouded. People could walk or stop in the middle island and involuntarily breath deeply. When people walk to the deepest part , river is running slowly along with lightly swinging Breathing Ripples, they could obtain plenty pleasure. It is a metaphor for Shenzhen’s leading demonstration of “Forest enters into the city, and the city embraces the forest”, which demonstrates the charming city of harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature, and being suitable for living, working and traveling.

人 · 美好 PEOPLE · BEAUTIFUL
漫步于曲折蜿蜒的呼吸廊道，螺旋水景盘旋而上，栈桥若隐若现在树林中，立体参数化呼吸构架的框窗与园博园主景的吕良阁形成借景关系，赏景的游人在这极具现代感、生命感的呼吸构架下感受光影的变幻、生命的跳动、城市的美好，体会现代与传统的文化碰撞、徐州与深圳的和谐对话，利用场地地势特点，相邀阳光、微风、雨露，与园中叠水，形成感动人心的自然画卷。
While trolling in the winding breathing corridor, people walk through the spiral waterscape spirals, the trestle looms in the woods, the frame window of the three-dimensional parametric breathing framework and the Luliang Pavilion of the main garden scenery of the Garden Expo forms a view-borrowed relationship. The visitors could enjoy the scenery and experience the change of light and shadow, the beating of life, and the beauty of the city under the breathing framework of the sense of modern and life, and experience the collision of modern and traditional cultures, the harmonious dialogue between Xuzhou and Shenzhen. A touching natural picture scroll can be formed with the sunshine, breeze, rain and dew, and the water in the garden based on the topography characteristics of the site.

By walking down slowly and looking back at the woods breathing wetland, swaying with the wind “breathing” perennial flower land, people could be moved by the beauty of nature, which is expectation, prospect and sublimation.
03 设计亮点 HIGHLIGHTS OF DESIGN
参数化呼吸构架设计 PARAMETRIC BREATHING FRAMEWORK DESIGN
步行桥上部造型设计采用参数化模型进行整体形态控制，通过模拟植物叶脉细胞肌理、细胞核密度，形成步行桥表皮设计，构架了表皮与支撑骨架间的几何联系，并同步生成扶手等细节。利用激光切割等数控加工技术，对几何形态及呈现细节进行了手工模型原型验证，既能优化双曲面原型的可展性能，也保证了钢材材料与加工机器的有效利用与景观效果。
The design of the upper part of the pedestrian bridge adopts a parametric model for overall morphological control, and the epidermis design of the pedestrian bridge is formed by simulating the cell texture and nucleus density of plant leaf veins, which frames the geometric connection between the epidermis and the supporting skeleton, and synchronously generates handrails and other details. The geometric form and presentation details of hand-working prototype are verified by laser cutting and other CNC machining technologies, which not only optimized the expand-ability of the hyperboloid prototype, but also ensured the effective use of steel materials and processing machines as well as the landscape effect.

新宿根自然花境 New Perennial Natural Flower Land
告别传统花坛花堆砌式的种植，采用新宿根自然主义种植设计手法进行创新布置，以最适合植物生长的空间进行搭配，达到低维护可持续的自然景观效果，选用新优乡土植物品种如：乌桕、日本红枫-金贵黄枫、丹桂、金桂、乐昌含笑、金毛狗脊蕨、卡尔拂子茅、墨西哥羽毛草、细叶芒、柳枝稷、墨西哥鼠尾草-丹尼尔之梦、紫菀系列、鼠尾草系列、大麻叶泽兰、蓍草、蓝花耳草、青葙、藿香蓟、八宝景天、刺芹、千屈菜、分药花等，整体生态自然、丰富野趣，与本次展园生态、自然的主题非常吻合，也是自然花境应用的一个趋势，追求植物之间长期的和谐共存，体现出“深·呼吸”之主题。
The innovative arrangement is adopted with the New Perennial Natural Planting Design Techniques, which can farewell to the traditional flower bed flower stacking planting and match the space with the most suitable space for growth of plant. It can achieve the low-maintenance and sustainable natural landscape effect, many new excellent native plant varieties are selected: Triadica sebifera (Linnaeus) Small，Japanese red maple – Acer palmatum, Osmanthus fragrans var. aurantiacus Makino，Osmanthus fragrans var. thunbergii Makino，Michelia chapensis Dandy，Cibotium baronetz, Calamagrostis acutiflora ‘Karl Foerster’，Nassella tenuissima (Trin.) Barkworth，Miscanthus sinensis ‘Gracillimus’，Panicum virgatum L.，Salvia leucantha Cav.，Aster series, Salvia L. series，Eupatorium cannabinum L.，Achillea sibirica， Hedyotis affinis Roem. & Schult.，Celosia argentea L.，Ageratum conyzoides L.，Sedum spectabile., Eryngium foetidum L.，Lythrum salicaria L.，Salvia abrotanoides (Kar.) Sytsma and others. The overall ecology is natural, rich and wild, which is consistent with the theme of ecology and nature in this exhibition garden. It is also a trend of natural flower application, which pursues the long-term harmonious coexistence between plants and reflects the theme of “Deep · Breathing”.

深圳，这是一座可以深呼吸的城市，花丛中，是花绽放的呼吸，树林里，是树轻语的呼吸，溪流边，是水潺潺的呼吸，人与花、树、水，款款行，深深地，一呼一吸正好，且待美好相遇。
Shenzhen, is a city that can take a deep breath, It is the breath of the blooming flowers from the flowering shrubs, In the forests, it is whispering breath of the trees, By the side of the stream, there is the babbling breath of running water, People walk along with flowers, trees and water casually, Every Deeply breath is just fine, and wait for a beautiful encounter.
