UP+S：With urbanization, cities are swallowing up the countryside and driving out nature. Children who grow up in cities have an increasingly significant sense of alienation from nature, which is not only physical distance, but also psychological distance.
As a Sustainable Space Builder , we want to create some interesting fields that make nature and children closer.

由阿普贝思建造的阿奇瑞亲自然儿童乐园于2023年4月在北京二环内的龙潭中湖公园正式开放。北京龙潭中湖公园的前身是北京游乐园，在停业8年后于 2010 年修整升级。
In April 2023, the UP Nature Park constructed by UP+S was officially opened in Longtan Middle Lake Park within Beijing’s second ring road. Beijing Longtan Middle Lake Park , the former Beijing Amusement Park, which was repaired and upgraded in 2010 after eight years out-of-business.

在儿童友好和碳中和等政策背景下，我们提出建设面向儿童的亲自然乐园的设计愿景。我们充分利用原生自然环境，保留原场地内动植物资源，保护生态多样性，维持基地生态平衡，创造儿童与自然亲密接触的环境。
In the context of child-friendly and carbon neutral policies, we propose the design vision of a child-friendly paradise. We make full use of the original natural environment, retain the original site of plant and animal resources, protect the ecological diversity, maintain the ecological balance of the base, and create an environment for children to have close contact with nature.

在对原场地进行升级改造时，保留了场地原有大树，坚持不砍伐一棵树的设计原则，以银杏、国槐、油松和侧柏4种主题树为基底，结合场地条件，设计建造阿奇瑞亲自然乐园。
设计中，我们立足于空间和孩子双重角度，提出的五大设计原则：
自然法则：尊重地域特点和文化，充分利用公园自然资源，保留原生场地的每一棵树；尽少干预自然，减少人工痕迹，以自然材料及要素营造动植物的栖息地和孩子们的乐土。
安全实用：排除活动器械、场地细部安全隐患，考虑孩子的多样化需求，让孩子简单、自然、尽情地体验。
趣味互动：自然互动，玩水、玩沙、玩泥巴，观植物变化；踩落叶、踩松针、观松果，看四时风景；钓鱼、抓泥鳅、观鸟，与小动物玩耍。
社交娱乐，和父母的亲子时光，和小伙伴的游戏互动，和自然的科普课堂。
真实美学：以质朴简洁为美，保持设施材料的真实状态。随四季变化景观，体现植物的健康自然之美。
可持续性：低维护、低投入、低影响开发。追求生态健康、助力低碳节能。
乐园为3-12岁少年儿童提供感统训练、艺术美育、自然教育、亲子互动等多元场域，结合“金木水火土”主题IP，串联线上线下教育平台，多位一体，打造寓教于乐的亲自然学堂，治愈城市孩子的自然缺失症，促进青少年的健康成长。
When upgrading the original site of the UP Nature Park, we based on the principle of not cutting down any tree, and retained the original trees Ginkgo biloba, Sophora japonica, Pinus tabulaefor and Platycladus orientalis of the site, combined with the site conditions, then designed and built the UP Nature Park.Five design principles based on the dual perspective of space and children have been proposed in the design:
Law of Nature：The design respects regional characteristics and culture, make full use of the park’s natural resources and preserve every tree in the native site; Minimal interference with nature has been exerted with less artificial traces and utilize the natural materials and elements to create a habitat for plants and animals and meanwhile a playground for children.
Safety and Practicality：Activity equipment and safety hazards site detail has been excluded. With consideration of children’s need for diversity, the design enables the children to experience pure enjoyment.
Amusing Interaction：Natural interaction: playing with water, sand, mud, and observing plant changes; Stepping on fallen leaves, pine needles, observing pinecones, and enjoying the scenery of four seasons; Fishing, loaches catching, birds watching, and interaction with small animals.
Social entertainment: family time with parents, gaming with fellow friends, and natural science education classes
Realistic Aesthetics：To take rusticity and simplicity as beauty, so as to maintain the facility materials’ true state. To have the landscape change with the seasons, so as to reflect the healthy and natural beauty of the plants.
Sustainability：The design encourages low maintenance, low investment, and low impact development. It is our goal to achieve ecological health and to promote low-carbon energy conservation.
The park offers diverse fields such as sensory training, artistic and aesthetic education, natural education, and parent-child interaction for children aged 3-12. By combining the theme IP of “Golden, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth”, and connecting online and offline education platforms, we create a pro-nature school that integrates education with entertainment. It will bring nature back to urban children, and promote the healthy growth for the youth.

阿奇瑞亲自然乐园占地14000㎡，根据儿童年龄和行为特点将园区划分为四大区域：以3-6岁儿童感知探索为主的趣玩区，以6-9岁儿童运动拓展为主的拓展区，以剧场及配套服务为主的综合区，以感知和体验植物种植为主的菜园区。园区在照顾儿童成长喜好的基础上，可以满足全年龄段人群的使用。
The UP Nature Park covers an area of 14,000 square meters. According to the children’s age and behavior characteristics, the park is divided into four areas: the fun and play area focusing on perceptual exploration for children aged 3-6, the expansion area focusing on sports development for children aged 7-9, the comprehensive area focusing on theater and supporting services, and the vegetable park focusing on perception and experience plant planting. On the basis of taking care of children’s growth preferences, the park can meet the needs of people of all ages.

百年古槐的周围在保留原有铺装的基础上，我们以亲自然的方式打造环形座凳、原木LOGO，随着一天光影的变化，人们可以调整休憩、交流的位置，享受古树下的美好时光。
On the basis of preserving the original pavement, we have created circular benches and wood log logos in a pro-natural way around the centenary old locust tree. With the change of light throughout a day, people can adjust the position of rest and communication, and enjoy the leisure time under the ancient trees.

02.魔奇泥潭 Magical Quagmire
在泥潭中无限创想 Infinite imagination in magical quagmire
700㎡的摩奇泥潭中，可以近距离接触泥土和沙土。压水、捉泥鳅、摸鱼、踩泥巴、模拟厨房、泥潭寻宝等特色活动，引导孩子自主游戏，释放孩子们爱玩的天性，打开新世界的大门。
In the 700sqm Magical Quagmire, children can have close encounter with soil and sand. Featured activities such as water pressing, loaches catching, fishing, mud stepping, kitchens simulation, and mud pools treasure hunting will guide children to play independently and unleash their playful nature, open for them the door to a new world.

03.儿童蹦蹦云 Children’s Bouncing Cloud
旋转跳跃不停歇 Rotating and jumping without stopping
大小孩子们都超级喜欢的充气蹦蹦云，也是我们在施工过程中增加的趣味设施，可蹦、可滑、可爬，仿生云造型让孩子们仿佛漫步云端，尽享快乐。
The inflatable bouncing cloud that loved by children of all ages is also a fun facility that we added during the construction process. Children can jump, slide, and climb on it. The bionic cloud design makes children enjoy themselves strolling as if through the real clouds.

04.幼童无动力区 Unpowered Zone for Young Children
奔跑吧！少年！Run! Young Man!
1000㎡专为幼童打造的拓展空间，包含滑梯、独木桥、小木屋、沙坑、小转盘、爬网、滑索……一系列无动力游乐设备，孩子们在此畅快玩耍，尽情开发运动天赋。园内不定期举办小型障碍比赛，娱乐的同时兼具刺激与趣味。
A 1000 sqm expansion space specifically designed for young children, including slides, single wooden bridges, little wood cabin, bunkers, small turntables, crawls, ropes… a series of unpowered amusement devices, where children can play happily and fully develop their athletic talents. There will also be irregular small obstacle competitions held in the park, which not only provide entertainment but also excitement and fun.

The play route in the unpowered zone has been carefully planned and laid out by designers and manufacturers, fully exercising children’s limbs and core strength, and scientifically promoting children’s sense of movement and coordination.

05.森林旱溪&阿奇瑞淘金 Forest Dry Creek & UP Gold Rush
大自然的寻感之旅 A Journey to nature’s sensation
玩累了，就到森林旱溪里小憩一番，由原有水系改造的旱溪最大程度地保留了乐园的场所记忆，潺潺的流水、清凉的喷雾……孩子们可在溪流之上感受大自然的清凉。我们还设计了不同自然材质打造的感知道路，小朋友们光脚踩在道路上，感知不同自然物质的触感。
When you are tired of playing, you can have a rest in the Forest Dry Creek. The dry creek reconstructed from the original water system retains the place memory of the park to the greatest extent. The babbling water, cool spray… Children can feel the coolness of nature on the stream. We also designed sensory roads made of different natural materials, where children can step barefoot on the road to feel the touch of different natural substances.

在无动力乐园充分开发综合运动能力后，可以到趣味无限的淘金小镇开发动手能力，500㎡的阿奇瑞淘金区，旱溪迷雾、奶瓶喂鱼、淘金、捞鱼等活动，孩子与水亲密接触，感受无穷乐趣。
在自然里寻宝，神秘又欢乐！潺潺流水洗刷一盆盆细沙，显现出无穷宝藏，吸引孩子们玩上大半天！
After fully developing comprehensive sports abilities in the unpowered park, children can proceed to the fun and endless gold mining town to develop hands-on skills. The 500 sqm UP Gold Rush area offers activities such as dry creek mist, bottle feeding, gold mining, and fishing. Children can have intimate contact with water and experience endless fun.
Searching for treasures in nature is mysterious and joyful! The gurgling water washes away the fine sand in pots and reveals endless treasures, attracting children to play for most of the day!

06.森林服务站 Forest Service Station
捕捉自然纯粹感受 Capture the absolute sense of nature
园区内，我们设置了大量露天休息区。孩子们在园内尽情畅玩，家长们在森林里享受阳光、在露营椅上舒展、在林间石子小路上漫步、在跷跷板上弹动……都是弥足惬意的选择。超大帐篷和松林为游客遮挡阳光，是放松悠闲的不二之选。
We have set up a lot of outdoor rest areas in the park. While the children enjoy themselves in the park, parents can enjoy the sunshine in the forest, stretch out on camping chairs, stroll on the stone paths among the woods, and bounce on the seesaw… these are all super cozy choices. Oversized tents and pine forests are the best choice for tourists to relax and recreate.

07. 松果剧场 Pinecone Theatre

600㎡演绎空间，带来精彩的剧场表演、活动演出、团体活动，松果剧场静如处子、动如脱兔，可盐可甜，让孩子和家长们在乐园里遇见更多美好时光。
The 600 sqm performance space will hold wonderful theatre shows, event performances and group activities. Pinecone Theater can be calm or exciting, can be cool and cute, so that children and parents can enjoy more diverse moments times in the park.

08. 秋千吊床区 Swing & Hammock Zone
自由飞翔的畅快体验 The exhilarating experience of flying freely
超大秋千集结5种不同秋千类型，给孩子们带来飞翔半空中的趣味体验，也是大人们也特别喜欢的快乐天堂。穿梭在林间的秋千完美保留了场地原生的银杏树生长空间，半弧形的设施环绕出内向型空间，让人与人间产生更多交互可能性，是社交休闲的热门场域！
The mega swing combines 5 different types of swings, providing children with a fun experience of mid-air flying, which is also favored by parents. The swing that shuttles through the forest perfectly preserves the original growth space of ginkgo trees of the site, and the semi curved facilities creates an introverted space, creating more possibilities for interaction between people and the world. It is a hotspot for social recreation!

09. 魔奇塔 Magical Tower
登塔远眺，细嗅槐花 View from the tower, smell of the sophoraflower
2200㎡的组合树屋滑梯，综合树屋、沙坑、攀爬、旋转大滑梯等娱乐元素，最高处达7m，既可以触摸古槐树的叶梢，又可以远眺公园风景，是勇敢的孩子不容错过的明星项目！
The 2200 sqm hybrid tree slide, with an apex of 7m, combines entertainments such as tree house, sandpit, bouldering wall and spiral slide. Visitors from here can touch the tree branches of ancient locust tree, and also look far into the park sceneries. It is a star project that brave children should not miss!

10.阳光草坪 Sunshine Lawn
阳光之下，自在呼吸 Breathe freely under the sunshine
1300㎡的阳光草坪是开展户外活动的最佳场地。 不管是家庭聚会、团建活动，还是同学派对、儿童生日party，都可以快乐呈现。 在微风轻拂的午后，惬意喝着茶和咖啡，看孩子在草地奔跑，听着不远处隆隆的火车，享受眼前的美好时光。
1300 sqm Sunshine Lawn is the best place for outdoor activities. It is the happy ground for family gathering, team building, schoolmate party and children birthday party. Visitors can enjoy the beautify time with tea and coffee, watching children running on the grass, or listening to the rumbling train nearby.

11.一米菜园 1M Vegetable Farm
自己动手，丰衣足食 To create prosperity with one’s own hands
一米菜园用于培养孩子对农业生活的相关认知，通过一方小小的菜园，见证蔬菜从种子到收获的全过程。 还可以在田园课堂里感受大自然的美好时光，认识一株园艺植物、了解一段田园科学。 这里不仅是家长带娃学习知识的好地方，更是组织亲子研学的好去处。
The 1M Vegetable Garden is used to cultivate children’s awareness of agricultural life by observing the entire process of vegetables from seed to harvest through a small garden. You can also experience the beautiful moments of nature in the pastoral classroom, get to know a horticultural plant, and learn about some pastoral science. This is not only a good place for parents to learn knowledge with their children, but also a good destination for parent-child research.

造梦者的自白 Confessions from the dreammaker
阿奇瑞亲自然乐园以环境为基底，成为链接儿童与自然的纽带，让孩子接触自然，在自然中玩耍，以亲自然乐园为载体开展自然教育、劳动教育和感知活动，让儿童在自然中快乐健康的成长。
自然是儿童成长中必不可少的因素，希望通过我们的乐园，把儿童交给自然，把自然还给儿童。
自2022年初萌生打造乐园的念头后，团队从拿地、规划、设计、施工到后期的运营、宣传，一笔一画亲手打造，凝聚了我们对大自然、对儿童与家长、对设计和生活的爱与思考。
Based on the environment, the UP Nature Park has become a link between children and nature, allowing children to contact nature, play in nature, and carry out natural education, labor education and perception activities, so that children can grow up happy and healthy in nature.
Nature is an essential factor in the growth of children. We hope that children will be handed over to nature and nature will be returned to children in our paradise.
Since the idea of creating the UP Nature Park emerged in early 2022, the team has created it from sketch through land acquisition, planning, concept, construction to later operation and promotion. The design condenses our love and reflection on nature, children and parents, design and life.
