盖娅朴门设计：该街区位于北京海淀中关村双榆树二街，其整体宽20米，长150米，占地3000㎡。距中关村大街仅275米，紧邻当代商城、燕山大酒店，位于中关村大街四通桥节点和中关村科学城国际人才社区规划范畴内，区位优势明显。
Beijing Gaiascape Permaculture studio: The block is located in the second Shuang Yu Shu Street, Zhong Guan Cun, Hai Dian District, Beijing. Its overall width is 20 meters, length is 150 meters, covering an area of 3,000 square meters. It is only 275 meters away from Zhong Guan Cun Street, close to contemporary Shopping Mall and Yanshan Hotel. It is located at the junction of Zhong Guan Cun Street Four Way Bridge and within the planning scope of Zhong Guan Cun Science City International talent Community, with obvious location advantages.
但现状为低品质步行空间，设计立意是将其改造为街区型社区口袋公园，定位是科学、人文、博物、生活复合的“城市文化新客厅”，成为儿童友好的“步行街区”。
建成后该街区将成为社区居民日常使用的公共活动空间，可以作为双榆树小学的校外活动场地。
However, the current situation is a low-quality walking space, and the design intention is to transform it into a block-type community pocket park, positioning it as a “new living room of urban culture” where technology, culture, museum and life are combined, and becoming a “walking block” friendly to children.
After completion, the block will become a public activity space for the daily use of community residents, and can be used as an off-campus activity venue for Shuang Yu Shu Primary School.

中关村街道地处中关村科学城核心地带，辖区内拥有众多科研院所和高新企业，人才云集，是世界上科教智力资源和高科技企业最密集的区域之一。为营造国际人才社区文化氛围，中关村街道实施了该项目，旨在建设宜居宜业的新型城市形态，以及活力开放的新街道。
助力区位发展 Helping location development
场地现状为低品质步行空间，周边有大型商业当代商城、燕山大酒店以及中国国际人才开发中心等服务设施资源，但匮乏高品质的公共交往空间。资料显示，高品质的交往空间是人才社区发展的基础，中关村众享荟街区可以为人才创新提供良好的生活环境，让城市空间取代园区，成为新的创新源头。
Zhong Guan Cun Street is located in the core area of Zhong Guan Cun Science City. There are many scientific research institutes and high-tech enterprises in the area under its jurisdiction. It is one of the regions with the most intensive scientific, educational and intellectual resources and high-tech enterprises in the world. In order to create a cultural atmosphere of international talent community, Zhong Guan Cun Street implemented the project, which aims to build a new urban form suitable for living and working, as well as a new street with vitality and openness.
The current situation of the site is a low-quality pedestrian space, surrounded by large commercial contemporary mall, Yanshan Hotel, China International Talent Development Center and other service facilities, but lack of high-quality public communication space. According to the data, high-quality communication space is the basis for the development of talent community, and Zhong Guan Cun public enjoyment block can provide a good living environment for talent innovation, so that urban space can replace the park and become a new source of innovation.

三、项目实践 Project practice
整个场地通过一条夜光跑道围绕互动、体验、传播三大核心价值，进行功能串联，用10个功能岛进行串联，分别为植物科普花园，镜面休闲廊、小舞台、儿童地形游乐区、趣味管道游乐区和羽毛球场地。结合场地优势，地面增加了用条石板阴刻的中关村科学与人文的各项成就。植物方面，保留了场地原有的两排五角枫树，地面的花坛改为雨水花园，用于对地表雨水的自然收集。
入口艺术栅栏门 Entrance art grille door
入口的艺术栅栏设计是两个相对的手掌，代表了科学与人文融合发展，体现了“接触”的设计主题。它既是挡车的闸口，满足日常限流和应急开启的需要，也是一个艺术雕塑。
The whole site, through a luminous runway, is connected with the three core values of interaction, experience and communication, and is connected with 10 functional islands, which are plant science garden, mirror lounge, small stage, children’s terrain recreation area, fun pipeline recreation area and badminton court. Combined with the advantages of the site, the ground adds the achievements of science and humanity of Zhong Guan Cun inscribed with a stone slab. In terms of plants, the original two rows of pentagonal maple trees on the site were retained, and the flower beds on the ground were changed into rain gardens for the natural collection of surface rainwater.
The art fence at the entrance is designed as two opposite palms, representing the integrated development of science and humanity, reflecting the design theme of “contact”. It is not only the gate of the car, to meet the daily flow limit and emergency opening needs, but also an art sculpture.

植物科普花园 Plant science garden
植物科普花园（包括香草花园、药用花园、耐旱植物花园、喜阳植物花园）为双榆树小学提供了学习园艺知识与技能的场所，由双榆树小学师生管理维护。春季老师会带领学生进行自然知识科普、植物认知、体验农业耕作等实践活动，并设置科普展示牌介绍植物知识。让学生在亲近自然的同时，培养学生对动植物的乐趣。
Plant science garden (including herb garden, medicinal garden, drought-tolerant plant garden, Sunny plant garden) provides a place for Shuang yu Primary School to learn horticultural knowledge and skills. It is managed and maintained by the teachers and students of Shuang yu Primary School. In spring, teachers will lead students to popularize natural knowledge, plant cognition, experience agricultural farming and other practical activities, and set up popular science display boards to introduce plant knowledge. Let students get close to nature at the same time, cultivate students’ interest in animals and plants.

镜面休闲廊/休憩座椅/蜂巢休憩乐园 Mirrored lounge/seating/Honeycomb play area
镜面休闲廊和座椅为双榆树小学的家长提供了等候区，下雨时或阳光暴晒时可给家长更舒适的等候体验，镜面反射、蜂巢造型增加了艺术互动气息，同时也是社区邻里居民良好的社交场所。
The mirror lounge and seats provide a waiting area for parents of Shuang Yushu Primary School. When it rains or is exposed to the sun, parents can have a more comfortable waiting experience. The mirror reflection and honeycomb shape increase the atmosphere of artistic interaction, and it is also a good social place for the community residents.

游戏小舞台 Game stage
小舞台设置在双榆树小学大门的入口前，日常作为孩子大人开阔的休憩平台，有活动或上课期间作为学生及居民的展示空间，是一个开放式的街区展示互动场所。
The small stage is set in front of the entrance of the main gate of Shuang Yu Shu Primary School. It is used as an open platform for children and adults to rest everyday, and as a display space for students and residents during activities or classes. It is an open place for street display and interaction.
地形游乐区/趣味管道游乐区 Terrain play area/Alien pipe play area
儿童天性喜欢钻、爬、攀等有挑战性的活动，开放的街区设计微地形和异形管道极大的吸引了儿童进行创造性游戏的开展，对儿童的身体平衡感、四肢发育和想象力都有很大帮助，增加了街区的人文关怀和趣味性。
Children naturally like drilling, climbing, climbing and other challenging activities. The open block design micro-topography and special-shaped pipes greatly attract children to carry out creative games, which are of great help to children’s sense of balance, limb development and imagination, and increase the humanistic care and fun of the block.

羽毛球场/S型夜光跑道 Badminton court /S type luminous track
对行人极为友好的“无车”街道，为社区居民和儿童提供了安全的运动场地，大人可以打羽毛球、散步、驻足交流，开阔的街道也为儿童轮滑、踢球、平衡车、捉迷藏、奔跑等游戏活动提供了一方小天地。s型夜光跑道飘带将10个功能岛串联起来，打破了原有直线的柏油马路单调感，又起到运动的导引作用。
The pedestrian-friendly “car-free” streets provide safe sports venues for community residents and children. Adults can play badminton, walk, stop and communicate. The open streets also provide a small world for children’s game activities such as roller skating, kicking a ball, balancing a car, hide-and-seek, and running. The S-type luminous runway streamer connects 10 functional islands in series, breaking the monotony of the original straight asphalt road and guiding the movement.
“科学与人文成就”石板雕刻 “Scientific and Human Achievement” stone slab carving
中关村街道曾居住过赵忠尧、钱学森等知名科学家、知名学者、专家和退休干部，是高新技术产业和知识分子集中的地区。结合中关村历史，地面用石板雕刻的方式记录了40条中关村的重要历史事件或是重大科研成果，按照时间线从北向南排列，如：“1966年，中国第一枚导弹核武器实验成功”、“2003年，中国首次载人航天飞行成功”等。
Zhong Guan Cun Street once lived Zhao Zhongyao, Qian Xuesen and other famous scientists, scholars, experts and retired cadres, is a high-tech industry and intellectuals concentrated area. Combined with the history of Zhong Guan Cun, 40 important historical events or scientific achievements of Zhong Guan Cun are recorded on the ground in the way of stone carving, which are arranged from north to south according to the time line, such as: “In 1966, China’s first nuclear missile test was successful”, “in 2003, China’s first manned space flight was successful”, etc.

整个街区的西侧设计了以“生活、生命、生态”三大主题展开的系列自然知识科普，寓教于乐的过程中，以可交互的装置提高了趣味性和互动性，增加了儿童参与互动游戏体验感受。
On the west side of the whole block, a series of science popularization of natural knowledge with three themes of “life, life and ecology” is designed. In the process of combining education with entertainment, interactive devices enhance the fun and interaction, and increase children’s experience of participating in interactive games.

街区生活是人们走出家门每天都经历的，街区除了交通功能以外，更多的体现了城市的气质和品味，是公共生活的延伸和承载载体。无车街区是城市未来的实践方向；无车街区意味着街区变得开放、安全、自由、艺术，人放松下来，用真实的身体感知体验我们的城市空间，这样的城市生活会更美好。
Street life is what people experience every day when they go out of their homes. Besides the traffic function, street life more reflects the temperament and taste of the city, and is the extension and carrier of public life. Car-free block is the practical direction of city in the future; A car-free block means that the block becomes open, safe, free and artistic. People can relax and experience our urban space with real body perception, so that the city life will be better.
