MASTROMINAS ARCHITECTURE：“这座房子的设计理念很简单。水平的混凝土板与起伏的地面对话，并消失在其中。它潜入地下，为其下方的功能提供空间。

MASTROMINAS ARCHITECTURE：“The concept for this house is simple. The horizontal concrete slab is in conversation with the ground relief and disappears into it. It submerges into the ground and provides space for functions beneath it.
Technology and nature, contradiction and coexistence. The influence of nature covers the slab with natural vegetation, absorbing it, including it. From above, only a subtle trace is visible.Underneath the slab, in linear arrangement across the view, are interior and outdoor spaces, with undefined boundaries. The gesture integrates with the water line thus blending with the vast blue on the horizon.” Ilias Mastrominas / Lead architect & founder
该住宅毗邻科斯市（距离港口和科斯码头仅 5 分钟路程），可将科斯湾的全景尽收眼底，并能远眺邻近的卡利莫斯岛（Kalimos）和普塞里莫斯岛（Pserimos）以及小亚细亚海岸。
Located in proximity to the city of Kos – 5 minutes from the port and Kos marina – this residence has the privilege of a panoramic view over the city Kos bay as far as to the neighboring islands of Kalimos and Pserimos and to the coast of Minor Asia.

The residence is characterized by its minimalistic architecture and it is partially underground due to the steep morphology of the plot. The spaces in linear arrangement benefit of the unlimited view, thanks to the floor to ceiling glazing frames. The interior spaces extend towards a continuous parallel covered terrace developed and the undistinctive limits between outdoor and indoor provide a sense of continuity.
设计与平行于房屋和露台布置的无边线性泳池融为一体，吸引了人们的目光。在西侧，泳池的边缘一直到了带室外壁炉的内置起居空间。优雅的石板作为建筑中的一大特色，从整体环境中水平伸出，在西侧边缘留出空间供一棵大树自由生长，铺洒阴凉。
The design is integrated with the infinity linear pool in parallel arrangement to the house and the terrace, which captures the attention. On the west side, the pool withdraws giving its place to a built-in living space with an outdoor fireplace. The elegant slab, an element that strongly characterizes the building, protrudes horizontally from the background and is trimmed at its west edge allowing a big tree canopy to grow freely.
在住宅的第一层，入口大厅、起居室、厨房、用餐区和两间卧室均沿景观布置。建筑主轴线上有一道垂直的石墙，将公共空间和私人空间分隔开来。主卧室和一间次卧室部分位于地下，这为房间带来了更好的隔热效果。住宅的通风和采光通过沿配电大厅延伸的线性植物中庭提供。
On the first level, the entrance hall, the living area the kitchen, the dining area and two bedrooms are developed along the view. A vertical stone wall to the main axis of the building, separates the public from the private spaces. The master and a secondary bedroom are partially underground which provides extra insulation all year round. Ventilation and illumination are provided through a linear planted atrium which expands along the distribution hall.

On the second level, under the first, the two additional bedrooms, have access to a terrace with view due to the steep plot. The service and storage spaces as well as the gym and the interior parking lots with access ramp, are on this level. The gym is lit on one side by the atrium that extends from the first level and on the other side by the transparent wall of the pool which filters the natural light.
住宅的材料为石材、白色石膏和无烟煤铝窗；藤架结构由钢和柚木条组成。
The materials are stone, white plaster and anthracite aluminum windows. The pergola structure is made of steel with teak beams.
一系列干石墙垒叠形成了陡峭的景观，这些干石墙按照传统方式形成了种植区，种植着橄榄树和无花果树。周围还种植了其他地中海植物，如柠檬 、松树和刺梨仙人掌。这做建筑与环境完全融合，当地的草本植物如百里香仿如延伸到了屋顶的绿化之中。
The steep landscape is elaborated with a series of drystone walls which form planting areas, in the traditional way, planted with olive and fig trees. Other mediterranean plants, citruses, pines and prickly pear cactuses are planted around. The building fully integrates to the environment which seems to extend over the green roof with local herbs such as thyme.
