天华园艺：引子：把花种回江岸

2026年9月30日上午九点半，一枚“贝壳”在白鹅潭江岸上张开——广州首座万象城正式开门迎客。这是华润置地自持运营的第100座购物中心，一座承载着“让世界重回白鹅潭”期待的城市级作品。

Tianhua Horticulture: Prologue: Planting the Flowers Back on the Riverbank

At half past nine on the morning of 30 September 2026, a “shell” opened on the Bai’etan riverbank—Guangzhou’s first MixC formally opened its doors. This is the 100th shopping centre owned and operated by China Resources Land, a city-scale work carrying the expectation of “bringing the world back to Bai’etan.”

白鹅潭的底色是两条基因：花与商——中国的茶、瓷、丝由此流向世界，远洋的香料与花卉又随船而来。我们承接的，正是这座“城市舞台”最贴近人的一层：街区下层植物景观，近4000㎡的花境，散落在滨江广场、文保街区、酒吧街、上市路、内庭绿谷与地铁口的两个口袋花园里。

Two genes underlie Bai’etan’s character: flowers and commerce—China’s tea, porcelain and silk flowed out to the world from here, while spices and flowers from overseas arrived by ship. What we took on is precisely the layer of this “urban stage” closest to people: the street-level planting of the block—nearly 4,000 m² of flower borders, scattered through the riverside plaza, the heritage conservation block, the bar street, Shangshi Road, the inner-court green valley, and two pocket gardens at the metro exit.

这篇文章，想把我们的思考与方法讲一遍：在这片被历史反复书写的土地上，一座世界级滨水地标的下层景观，究竟是怎样“长”出来的。

一、一片被反复书写两千年的土地

白鹅潭 “花地” 源自南越王赵佗江畔种花的传说，宋代花卉种植渐兴，至明清已是闻名遐迩的花卉产地，芳村也因此拥有 “千年花乡” 的美誉，至今仍是国内重要花卉集散地；这里同时是海上丝路重要节点，宋代大通港、清代十三行千帆云集，花、商贸与近代工业层层积淀，塑造出广州务实开放、兼容并蓄的城市性格。作为广州五大世界级地标商圈，落址于此的白鹅潭万象城以 “珠江之贝” 为造型，借半开放立面与望江露台收纳江岸风光，更历时 130 余天完成 4600 吨重、拥有 112 年历史的些华伦士楼整体抬升平移，而在此开展景观设计，便需要在建筑退让、历史克制与商业精彩三者的狭小区间内寻找平衡。

This article sets out to lay out our thinking and our methods: on this land so often written over by history, how exactly did the street-level landscape of a world-class waterfront landmark “grow” into being?

I. A Land Written Over for Two Thousand Years

Bai’etan’s “Huadi”, Flower Land, derives from the legend of Zhao Tuo, King of Nanyue, planting flowers by the river. Flower growing rose in the Song dynasty, and by the Ming and Qing it was a flower-producing region of wide renown; Fangcun thus earned the name “thousand-year flower village”, and remains a major flower distribution centre in China today. This was also a key node on the Maritime Silk Road: the Datong Port of the Song and the Thirteen Factories of the Qing drew a thousand sails, and flowers, trade and modern industry accumulated layer upon layer to shape Guangzhou’s pragmatic, open and all-embracing urban character. As one of Guangzhou’s five world-class landmark business districts, the Bai’etan MixC sited here takes the form of the “Shell of the Pearl River”, gathering the riverside scenery in through its semi-open facade and river-viewing terraces, and spent more than 130 days completing the full lifting and translation of the 4,600-tonne Hualunshi Building, 112 years old; to make landscape here is to seek a balance within the narrow interval between architectural concession, historical restraint and commercial brilliance.

二、五重挑战：花园是综合体的“软组织”

如果把综合体看作一台精密运转的机器，下层植物景观就是它的 “软组织”，需要柔顺适配破碎立体的多维度场地界面，同时应对滨江暴晒、内庭荫蔽等两极分化的微气候；既要兼顾通勤、游览、休闲等多元人群多时段的使用需求，还要规避遮挡商业橱窗门头、侵占后勤通道等商业限制，同时满足高端商业对植物抗逆、低运维、少枯萎的严苛标准，更要在百年文保建筑前恪守克制，以 “低声量的浪漫” 让植物成为建筑的注脚而非主角，多重约束交织构成项目核心设计难点。

三、永不落幕的丝路花园

海明威曾在《流动的盛宴》里这样形容巴黎：仿佛一场永不落幕的盛宴。今天的白鹅潭，正以华丽的姿态重回世界舞台，而盛宴所在的花园，也应当如此典雅、奢华、永不落幕——全案主题由此确立：永不落幕的丝路花园。

“丝路”在这里是双关。一层是历史：白鹅潭是海上丝绸之路的节点，今天种在花境里的迷迭香、油橄榄、龙舌兰、蓝雪花，无一不是这场漫长交换的后代。另一层是方法：以“花园”替代“花坛”，用多年生宿根、观叶与花灌木的结构化组合替代一次性时令花卉，让景观自我演替、四季有景。

II. Five Challenges: The Garden as the Complex’s “Soft Tissue”

If the complex is a machine running with precision, the street-level planting is its “soft tissue”: it must conform gently to multi-dimensional site interfaces that are fragmented and three-dimensional, while answering the sharply polarised microclimates of riverside exposure and inner-court shade; it must serve the needs of commuters, visitors and those at leisure across many hours of the day, and also avoid blocking commercial shop windows and shopfronts or encroaching on service corridors; it must meet high-end retail’s stringent standards for plant stress tolerance, low maintenance and minimal dieback; and before century-old heritage buildings it must hold to restraint, letting plants become a footnote to the architecture rather than its protagonist through a “low-volume romance”—the interweaving of these multiple constraints constitutes the core design difficulty of the project.

III. The Never-Ending Silk Road Garden

Hemingway once described Paris in A Moveable Feast as a feast that never ends. Today Bai’etan is returning to the world stage in splendid form, and the garden in which that feast is held should be equally elegant, sumptuous and never-ending—hence the theme of the whole scheme: the Never-Ending Silk Road Garden.

“Silk Road” here works on two levels. One is history: Bai’etan is a node on the Maritime Silk Road, and the rosemary, olive, agave and blue plumbago planted in the borders today are without exception the descendants of that long exchange. The other is method: replacing the “flower bed” with the “garden”, replacing one-off seasonal flowers with structured combinations of herbaceous perennials, foliage plants and flowering shrubs, so that the landscape renews itself and has something to show in every season.

为了让“永不落幕”不流于口号，我们定下三重愿景，也是三条红线：精致典雅——统一于万象综合体的高奢调性；在地风韵——蕴含广州的文化与地域特色；个性特征——每条街道有自己的调性与识别性。

So that “never ending” would not remain a slogan, we set three visions, which are also three red lines: refined elegance—unified with the luxury tone of the MixC complex; a sense of place—carrying Guangzhou’s cultural and regional character; and individual identity—each street with its own tone and recognisability.

统一与个性之间有张力：统一，则易呆板；个性，则易失控。我们的解法来自法国蔚蓝海岸的罗斯柴尔德花园——九座风格迥异的花园没有围墙，却统一在“地中海风情”之下。多园一题、多境一调，正是本项目的策略。

Unity and individuality pull against each other: unity easily turns rigid; individuality easily runs out of control. Our solution came from the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on the French Riviera—nine gardens of quite different character, without walls between them, unified nonetheless under a “Mediterranean” mood. Many gardens, one theme; many scenes, one tone: this is precisely the strategy of the project.

 

 

底层植物配置逻辑

概念要落地，靠的是一套可复制的植物配置逻辑：全案按“四层结构＋附生补位”配置，再以植物选配与色彩比例两条规则收口——这正是“永不落幕”能被日常运维承接的原因。

The Underlying Planting Logic

For a concept to land, it depends on a replicable logic of planting composition: the whole scheme is composed on a “four-layer structure plus epiphytic infill” basis, then closed off by two rules—plant selection and colour proportion. This is precisely why “never ending” can be carried by day-to-day operations.

规则一｜骨架求稳，花层求新。“在地”不是符号，是气候适应性。广州高温高湿、台风频繁，只有本地“活得好”的植物，才配得上长期主义：骨架层只用穗花牡荆、迷迭香、龙舌兰、蕨类等岭南稳定材料，决定三年后的样子；花层引入造型三角梅、月季、蓝星花等新优品种，负责第一次见面的惊喜。

规则二｜绿色为底，点缀克制。高奢不是昂贵，是“少而准”：低饱和——大量银灰、灰绿、墨绿，配极少量高纯度色；同色系微差——粉、粉紫、藕粉层层过渡；留白——不把花池种满，给光影和脚步留出余地。色彩比例，是控制“高奢感”的开关。

容错，是这套逻辑的隐形价值。四层结构让花境具备“自我修复”能力：一株枯萎，相邻植物快速补充生态位，无需人工反复更换；台风季后连夜补位而不露痕迹——高奢商业的运维现实，由此被承接。

同一套语法，不同的表情。在统一配置之上，每个节点再设定一句“调性短句”与一组色彩比例：文保街区70%绿／20%粉，酒吧街75%银灰／15%红，滨江广场70%绿／20%蓝紫……统一而不呆板，个性而不失控。

花境分“设计并施工”与“设计参与”两张清单，合计近4000㎡：前者是从选苗、放线、栽植到养护的全过程控制，是作品；后者是把“花境的语法”翻译成可执行的图纸与标准，是体系。

Rule one: keep the structure steady, keep the flower layer new. “Local” is not a symbol but climate adaptation. Guangzhou is hot and humid with frequent typhoons; only plants that “live well” here are worthy of long-termism: the structural layer uses only stable Lingnan materials—chaste tree, rosemary, agave, ferns—which determine how the garden will look in three years; the flower layer brings in new and improved varieties—trained bougainvillea, roses, blue star flower—which are responsible for the surprise of a first encounter.

Rule two: green as the ground, accents held back. Luxury is not expense; it is “few and precise”: low saturation—large quantities of silver-grey, grey-green and deep green with a very small amount of high-purity colour; fine gradations within one hue—pink, pink-purple and lotus-root pink transitioning layer by layer; and emptiness—not filling the beds to the brim, leaving room for light, shadow and footsteps. Colour proportion is the switch that controls the “luxury” feeling.

Fault tolerance is the hidden value of this logic. The four-layer structure gives the border a capacity for “self-repair”: when one plant withers, its neighbours quickly fill the ecological niche, with no need for repeated manual replacement; after typhoon season, gaps are refilled overnight without a trace—and so the operational reality of luxury retail is absorbed.

One grammar, different expressions. Above the unified composition, each node is given a “tone sentence” and a set of colour proportions: the heritage conservation block 70% green / 20% pink; the bar street 75% silver-grey / 15% red; the riverside plaza 70% green / 20% blue-purple… unified without rigidity, individual without losing control.

The flower borders are divided into two lists, “designed and built” and “design participation”, totalling nearly 4,000 m²: the first is full-process control from seedling selection and setting-out to planting and maintenance, which is a work; the second is translating “the grammar of the flower border” into executable drawings and standards, which is a system.

 

 

四、一街一境：七个节点，七种表情

约3900㎡被拆成七个彼此独立又互相呼应的场景单元，行人在其中移动，感受到的是情绪的连续变化，而非风格的随机拼贴。

文保街区——在青砖前，把浪漫调低音量。色彩只走“粉—粉紫—白”一条低音线，与青砖的冷灰温和对话；规整的球体接住现代商业的体量，藤本月季攀爬垂落，把百年青砖的硬边柔化。

IV. One Street, One Scene: Seven Nodes, Seven Expressions

Some 3,900 m² is broken into seven scene units, independent yet answering one another; as people move among them they feel a continuous shift of mood rather than a random collage of styles.

Heritage conservation block—lowering the volume of romance before grey brick. Colour follows a single bass line of “pink—pink-purple—white”, in gentle dialogue with the cool grey of the brick; clipped spheres receive the mass of modern retail, and climbing roses scramble and cascade, softening the hard edges of a century-old wall.

北坊酒吧街——白天是质感，入夜是氛围。75%的银灰几乎是一场冒险：银灰是最“夜”的颜色，暖光下泛出慵懒复古，暗处又不会消失；15%的红是点燃夜色的引信。晚香玉的香气，是这条街最难忘的一层设计。

eifang Bar Street—texture by day, atmosphere by night. Seventy-five per cent silver-grey is almost a gamble: silver-grey is the most “nocturnal” of colours, glowing with a languid, retro warmth under warm light and yet never disappearing in the dark; the 15% red is the fuse that ignites the night. The scent of tuberose is the most unforgettable layer of the design on this street.

北滨江广场——把莫奈的日出种进江岸。灵感来自莫奈《日出·印象》，以蓝紫冷色系营造江水的清透与雾感，用最低比例的橙做“日出”的点睛；法式修剪的“南瓜”造型灌木打破规整，一出现就让人会心一笑。

North Riverside Plaza—planting Monet’s sunrise into the riverbank. Inspired by Monet’s Impression, Sunrise, a cool blue-purple palette creates the clarity and mist of river water, with the smallest proportion of orange as the finishing touch of “sunrise”; French-pruned “pumpkin” shrubs break the regularity and draw a knowing smile the moment they appear.

新隆沙东路——地铁口的两个治愈口袋。出地铁的人视线只有一两秒，第一层是体量——用有特点的植物抓住移动中的目光；第二层是包裹感——绿色从四面八方围过来，形成“从城市走进森林”的心理转换；第三层是收敛——规整的灌木球把奔放的群落收在脚边。

Xinlongsha East Road—two healing pockets at the metro exit. People leaving the metro give you only a second or two of attention: the first layer is mass—distinctive plants that catch a moving eye; the second is enclosure—green closing in from every direction, effecting a psychological shift “from city into forest”; the third is restraint—clipped shrub balls gathering the exuberant planting back down at your feet.

东北角广场——以退为进的秩序感。90%的绿把所有表现欲收了起来：规整的球阵退让品牌立面，密植柔化设备井与车库出入口，只在转角、在行人必经之处，用中华木绣球、伯利恒之星给一次抬眼的惊喜。

Northeast Corner Plaza—a sense of order that advances by retreating. Ninety per cent green puts away every urge to perform: regular ranks of spheres give way to brand facades, dense planting softens equipment shafts and garage entrances, and only at the corner, where pedestrians must pass, do Chinese snowball viburnum and star of Bethlehem offer the surprise of looking up.

上市路——一条街道的三种情绪。万象城段热情、生机、高贵，文保段浪漫、优雅、沉稳，学校段活力、趣味、快乐。以连续色带、重复单元回应车行尺度的节奏，以单株细节回应步行尺度——车看节奏，人看细节。

Shangshi Road—three moods in one street. The MixC stretch is warm, vital, noble; the heritage stretch romantic, elegant, composed; the school stretch energetic, playful, cheerful. Continuous colour bands and repeated units answer the rhythm of the vehicular scale, while individual plant details answer the pedestrian scale—the car reads rhythm, the person reads detail.

内庭绿谷——把岭南林下搬进建筑。以观叶为主体，用蕨类的羽状叶序做“绿色雕塑”，龟背竹、鸭脚木建立“林”的密度；再以5%的白花在阴影里“发亮”——阴影里的白，比阳光下的白更有力量。

Inner-court Green Valley—moving the Lingnan forest floor indoors. Foliage dominates: the pinnate fronds of ferns make “green sculpture”, monstera and schefflera establish the density of “forest”; and five per cent white flowers “light up” in the shade—white in shadow carries more force than white in sunlight.

五、匠心：把作品做成体系

对我们来说，天华最珍视的，不是“做过多少项目”，而是“花有没有在正确的地方，安静地活下来”。让青砖前有一片低声量的粉，让酒杯旁有一层银灰的绒光，让地铁口的风里有一整片森林的气味——这就是我们理解的匠心：克制、精准，且经得起时间。

V. Craft: Turning a Work into a System

For us, what Tianhua treasures most is not “how many projects we have done” but “whether the flowers have quietly lived on in the right place”. A patch of low-volume pink before grey brick, a sheen of silver-grey velvet beside the wine glasses, the smell of an entire forest in the wind at the metro exit—this is what we understand by craft: restrained, precise, and able to withstand time.

 

 

结语

从赵佗种花，到大通港的千帆，从十三行的万舶云集，到今天江岸上张开的贝壳——白鹅潭的叙事从未中断，只是换了一种语言。

我们所能做的，是让这层语言足够柔软：让每一个走进这里的人，在抬头与低头之间，都遇见一点绿。

千年花地，花开万象。盛宴不散，花园不落。

Coda

From Zhao Tuo planting flowers to the thousand sails of Datong Port, from the gathered ships of the Thirteen Factories to the shell opening on the riverbank today—the narrative of Bai’etan has never been interrupted; it has only changed language.

All we can do is make this language soft enough: so that everyone who walks in here, between looking up and looking down, meets a little green.

A thousand-year flower land, ten thousand blooms. The feast does not disperse; the garden does not close.
