未名设计：深圳“山海连城计划”构建的远足径郊野径体系通过步道串联市域郊野自然场地，已初步形成体系与示范意义，亟需代表性特色实践以在跨境共融、生态修复及公共服务创新的综合性城市郊野空间设计领域实现引领。

罗湖区梧桐山-深圳水库-莲塘片区是深圳全市在自然生态方面特别是生物多样性以及深港交流发展的历史与文化方面都具有高度代表性特色的片区。

WMLA：The “Mountains-Sea Connecting City Plan” in Shenzhen has established a hiking trail and mountain trail system that connects suburban natural sites through these trails, and has initially formed a framework with demonstrative significance. There is an urgent need for representative, characteristic practices to take a leading role in the comprehensive design of urban-suburban spaces that integrate cross-boundary coordination, ecological restoration, and public service innovation.

The Wutong Mountain–Shenzhen Reservoir–Liantang area in Luohu District is highly representative in Shenzhen, both in terms of natural ecology—particularly biodiversity—and the history and culture of Shenzhen–Hong Kong exchanges and development.

近年来，伴随城市生活方式转变与情感陪伴需求上升，“宠物友好”理念受到广泛关注，成为衡量城市包容性与人文关怀的重要指标，而将“宠物友好”从商业空间延伸至城市公共领域，构建人与自然和谐的郊野公共空间是当前景观设计面临的新课题。

In recent years, with the transformation of urban lifestyles and the growing demand for emotional companionship, the concept of “pet-friendly” has attracted widespread attention and become an important indicator of a city’s inclusiveness and humanistic care. Extending the “pet-friendly” concept from commercial spaces to the urban public realm, and constructing suburban public spaces that harmonize humans and nature, poses a new challenge for landscape design.

罗芳公园郊野径在城市早期高密度建成区之间，以片区统筹理念引领，延续前作东湖公园郊野径，“穿针引线”地串联与发挥片区生态与文化标志性价值，塑造市民咫尺可亲的连续郊野活动空间。同时实现郊野徒步径、自然教育径、宠物友好径“三径合一”，具有先锋探索意义。

Threading the needle through the city’s early high-density built-up areas, the Luofang Park Mountain Trail, guided by the principle of district coordination and continuing the work of its predecessor—the Donghu Park Mountain Trail—links and unlocks the ecological and cultural landmark value of the area, creating continuous suburban activity spaces within close reach of citizens. At the same time, it achieves the integration of three functions in one trail—mountain hiking, nature education, and pet-friendly—making it a pioneering endeavor.

1.“片区统筹”，构建城市自然廊道

罗芳公园郊野径在横卧于深港界河莲塘河西北侧的猫窝山中蜿蜒约2公里，北抵莲塘口岸，与东湖公园郊野径和深港骑行绿道衔接。

1. “District Coordination” – Building Urban Natural Corridors

The Luofang Park Mountain Trail extends for approximately 2 km through Maowo Mountain, located on the northwest bank of the Liantang River (a boundary river between Shenzhen and Hong Kong). It extends northward to Liantang Port, connecting with the Donghu Park Mountain Trail and the Shenzhen–Hong Kong cycling greenway.

项目以“片区统筹”方式，将环深圳水库-梧桐山的城市生态与开放空间框架延伸至罗沙路以南片区，构成整个片区联通的自然生态廊道与活动空间体系。自然生态方面，将梧桐山、深圳水库双生态核心及周边公园和郊野联通；公共活动空间方面，使登山、徒步、骑行多种活动线路与空间组成完整体系。

Through a “district coordination” approach, the project extends the urban ecological and open space framework surrounding the Shenzhen Reservoir and Wutong Mountain to the area south of Luosha Road, forming an interconnected natural ecological corridor and activity space system for the entire district. In terms of natural ecology, it connects the two ecological cores of Wutong Mountain and Shenzhen Reservoir with surrounding parks and suburban areas. In terms of public activity spaces, it integrates various activity routes and spaces for mountaineering, hiking, and cycling into a complete system.

罗芳公园郊野径通过与片区内绿道、骑行道提升项目协同设计建设，实现将片区拥有的城市地标性自然生态骨骼和郊野径-绿道-骑行道组成的城市自然体验网络叠加。在城市文化方面，发挥紧邻口岸的区位优势，延续先期东湖公园郊野径的深港主题，进一步打造双城户外活动热点路线。最终以片区统筹方式，串联多条户外路线和开放空间，共同构成市民可体验并具有特别生态与文化意义的城市廊道。

Through coordinated design and construction with greenway and cycling path enhancement projects in the district, the Luofang Park Mountain Trail overlays the area’s iconic urban natural ecological framework with an urban nature experience network composed of mountain trails, greenways, and cycling paths. Culturally, leveraging its proximity to the border checkpoint, the project continues the Shenzhen–Hong Kong theme established in the earlier Donghu Park Mountain Trail, further developing popular cross-border outdoor activity routes. Ultimately, through district coordination, the project links multiple outdoor routes and open spaces to form an accessible urban corridor of particular ecological and cultural significance for citizens.

2. 郊野徒步径：聚焦“关键”，轻量建设

郊野径步道建设通过聚焦“关键点”的轻量化建设方式，在保留场地自然特色的同时，实现自然生态维护与郊野活动安全体验的双重目标。

2. Mountain Hiking Trail: Focusing on the Essentials Through Lightweight Construction

The construction of the mountain trail employs lightweight methods that focus on critical site-specific issues, preserving the site’s natural character while achieving the dual goals of ecological maintenance and safe outdoor recreation.

如首先识别场地关键问题——针对罗沙路入口挡土墙造成空间割裂，使用轻量化入口“盒子”打造延续自然风貌的安全舒适进入路线；原土石路段有水土流失风险，因地制宜的用自然工法构筑具有生态韧性的防护措施。

For instance, key site problems are first identified—the retaining wall at the Luosha Road entrance, which caused spatial fragmentation, is addressed with a lightweight entrance “box” that provides a safe and comfortable passage while preserving the natural landscape; and where the original dirt-and-rock paths were at risk of soil erosion, nature-based construction techniques are tailored to local conditions to build protective measures with ecological resilience.

步道的建设遵循“三零”原则（水泥铺装零增长、生态资源零损失、自然环境零冲击），用最少的工程使郊野徒步径在城市与郊野间“自由穿梭”。让徒步者深度感知和链接自然，享受充满自然野趣而又对生态极少冲击的徒步体验。

Guided by the “three-zero” principles (zero increase in cement paving, zero loss of ecological resources, and zero impact on the natural environment), the trail is built with minimal engineering intervention, allowing hikers to move seamlessly between urban and suburban areas. This enables walkers to deeply perceive and connect with nature, enjoying a hiking experience full of natural charm while minimizing ecological impact.

3. 自然教育径：“共生”主题，可读可玩

作为一条自然教育径，罗芳公园郊野径创作出以“共生”为主题，包括岭南山林中隐藏的“动植物共生”、生态工法中体现的“人与自然共生”、地理格局造就的“深港共生”内容的科普教育体系。

3. Nature Education Trail: The “Symbiosis” Theme, Interpretive and Interactive

As a nature education trail, the Luofang Park Mountain Trail presents an educational system centered on the theme of “symbiosis,” covering the “symbiosis between plants and animals” hidden within Lingnan forests, the “human–nature symbiosis” embodied in ecological construction techniques, and the “Shenzhen–Hong Kong symbiosis” shaped by the regional geographical landscape.

The nature education content is delivered primarily through an interpretive system that is both rich in format and vivid in content. Checkpoint-based challenges and playful interactive installations allow the “learning” process to unfold naturally through亲近自然的玩耍.

与罗沙路对面东湖公园郊野径呼应的深港主题内容，回应“片区统筹”理念，将深港紧密相连的自然共融与协同发展的历史文化谱写成整个片区户外空间的特色。

The Shenzhen–Hong Kong thematic content, which echoes the Donghu Park Mountain Trail across Luosha Road, responds to the “district coordination” concept, weaving the natural integration and collaborative development between Shenzhen and Hong Kong into the distinctive character of the entire district’s open spaces.

4. 宠物友好径：深圳首创探索

项目通过针对宠物的路径安全与生态友好性平衡、强调自然属性与情感联结的视觉标识系统、融入自然的分层导视与行为引导系统、创新互动设施建设打造了深圳首条“宠物友好”郊野径。

4. Pet-Friendly Trail: A Pioneering Exploration in Shenzhen

The project establishes Shenzhen’s first pet-friendly mountain trail by balancing trail safety with ecological compatibility for pets, implementing visual identity systems that emphasize natural elements and emotional connections, developing layered signage and behavior guidance systems integrated with the natural environment, and constructing innovative interactive facilities.

宠物友好特色标识与导视系统以粗犷、手绘质感的线条为主视觉语言，呼应郊野径的自然野趣特征。分为方向指引、安全提示与互动传播三类，覆盖从路径导航、风险提示到趣味互动等多重需求，提升使用安心感与体验完整性。

The pet-friendly identity and wayfinding system uses rugged, hand-drawn lines as its primary visual language, echoing the natural and rustic character of the mountain trail. It comprises three categories—directional guidance, safety alerts, and interactive communication—covering multiple needs from route navigation and hazard warnings to engaging interactions, thereby enhancing users’ sense of security and overall experience.

其中最具代表性的是创新设施是兼具宠物感知与自然教育互动功能的宠物图书馆。针对宠物依赖嗅觉探索环境的行为特点，选取簕欓花椒、山油柑、楝叶吴萸等对宠物无毒且具自然芳香的植物枝条，设置“宠物丰容树枝共享站”，鼓励宠物嗅闻探索，提供宠物“丰容”的同时亦可作为自然教育载体。

One of the most representative innovations is the “Pet Library,” which integrates pet sensory engagement with nature education. Recognizing that pets rely heavily on olfactory exploration, the facility features a “Pet Enrichment Branch Sharing Station” stocked with branches from plants such as Zanthoxylum avicennae, Acronychia pedunculata, and Tetradium glabrifolium—species that are non-toxic to pets and naturally aromatic. The installation encourages pets to sniff and explore, providing environmental enrichment while also serving as a medium for nature education.

The creation of the first pet-friendly mountain trail demonstrates that through refined, human-centered, and ecologically sustainable design interventions, positive interactions between people, pets, and nature can be fostered in suburban public spaces. This holds significant implications for advancing the pet-friendly city concept from vision to systematic practice.

5. 郊野径共建：不同人群共同“手作”理想步道

罗芳公园郊野径的建设与维护中广泛采用了共建的方式。共建参与方既有园林景观专业师生，亦有郊野径使用者各类市民代表。

来自长沙理工大学风景园林专业的师生在郊野径共建中参与场地踏勘、步道修造工作，亲身体验风景园林项目的落地过程，借此别开生面的教学实践深入理解城市设计和建造者的职业使命。

5. Co-creating the Mountain Trail: Different Groups Handcrafting the Ideal Path Together

The construction and maintenance of the Luofang Park Mountain Trail have extensively adopted a co-creation approach. Participants include both landscape architecture students and faculty, as well as various citizen representatives who are trail users.

Faculty and students from the Landscape Architecture program at Changsha University of Science and Technology participated in site surveys and trail construction, gaining hands-on experience in the implementation of landscape architecture projects. Through this distinctive teaching practice, they developed a deeper understanding of the professional mission of urban design and construction.

Citizen co-creators encompass diverse groups including nearby residents, families, hiking enthusiasts, and pet owners. By integrating volunteer activities with nature education, hiking experiences, and pet-related events, participants are invited to experience the trail firsthand, provide feedback, and take part in its construction and maintenance. Through direct involvement, they come to understand and embrace the trail’s design principles and usage philosophy.

罗芳公园郊野径建成开放后，完善了片区的可体验城市自然廊道，罗芳公园郊野径-东湖公园郊野径-环水库绿道徒步穿越成为深港户外休闲的最新热门线路。首条“宠物友好”郊野径激发众多养宠人士竞相体验，网络“打卡”与讨论热度极高。本项目实践在片区统筹、郊野公共空间设计、宠物友好设计方面的探索具备借鉴价值，可作为远足郊野径体系引领的城野共生可持续发展的特色示范案例。

Conclusion

Following its completion and opening, the Luofang Park Mountain Trail has enhanced the district’s accessible urban natural corridor network. Together with the Donghu Park Mountain Trail and the Shenzhen Reservoir Greenway, it has become a popular new route for outdoor recreation among Shenzhen and Hong Kong residents. As the city’s first “pet-friendly” mountain trail, it has attracted many pet owners and generated extensive online engagement and discussion. The project’s pioneering approaches in district coordination, suburban public space design, and pet-friendly design offer valuable references and serve as a distinctive demonstrative case of sustainable coexistence between urban and natural areas, guided by a hiking and mountain trail system.
