Our projects range from small-scale design projects to large new community plans and institutional campuses. We work with both public and private clients, and we thrive on working with communities, both large and small. While the majority of our work is in California, the firm practice includes work throughout the United States, South America and the Pacific Rim.

Our diverse portfolio demonstrates our strengths in research, contextual and thoughtful design, collaboration with clients, in leadership of community outreach, in production of compelling and legible graphics, and in development of innovative design solutions. We approach each project through the lens of placemaking. We believe that each project has a unique context, history and program and the potential to connect and enhance the community around it. We work to create active urban and public spaces which bring vitality and a sense of life to the cities and communities in which they are located.

Ο 「探索式校园空间」

Serendipity School Playground

紧扣当地环境、社区和学校理念，创造一个以自然为基础的户外学习体验空间，提供一个开放、包容和激励人心的学习和成长空间。即RHAA对该校园空间的设计目标。

The landscape design goal for Serendipity School playground was to create a nature-based outdoor learning experience that was grounded in the local environment, the community, and the school’s mission to provide an open-ended, inclusive, and inspirational space to learn and grow.

尊重场地原生环境，保留陡峭的斜坡场地，一条循地形轮廓而生的人行曲径随即成为项目核心元素，它将所有关键设计统一联系在一起，让每个人沿路收获各种趣味体验。

To achieve this goal on a steeply sloping site, an organically shaped central circulation path that followed the site contours become a critical design element that tied the project together, and enabled a variety of play experiences that were accessible to all.

这样一个与环境相融合的游戏和学习空间，源自亲生物的设计原则：自然材料的色调和游戏空间的有机曲线，更好地帮助设计融入其环境而不动声色。沿着曲径学生们可以选择各种不同的游戏体验，包括乐器，柳条小屋，攀岩，滑梯，障碍训练，水上游戏，绳荡等等。所有的游戏体验都是亲近自然的美好且富有教育意义，满足所有年龄段的学生需求。

The final design resulted in a play and learning space that blends seamlessly with its context. The natural material palette and organic form of the play spaces draw off biophilic design principals and make the design sit comfortably within its environment. Students can enjoy a variety of different play experiences throughout, including musical instruments, a willow hut, boulder climbers, a slide, an obstacle course, water play, a group rope swing, and more. The play experiences are all created to be beautiful, educational and to engage students of all ages and abilities.

作为项目的第一期工程，景观设计的主要目标是为学生、教师和游客创造丰富的校园体验。利用自然地形来创造活跃身心，自然启发的娱乐环境，这样一个无障碍蜿蜒路径的设计无疑是为所有师生提供的最佳创意解决方案。

The landscape design for Serendipity School is designed to provide an enriched campus experience for students, faculty and visitors. Phase 1 of the project uses the natural topography to create new, nature inspired play environment. Students will be able to enjoy a variety of play experiences, from musical and sensory play, to climbing, sliding and swinging play. A new ADA accessible winding path provides access to the entirety of the play space for students of all abilities.

校园第二期景观将侧重于循环、雨水处理和整体规划，包括新的入口楼梯和坡道，挡土墙和陡坡种植，新建筑周围硬景观，校园东侧两个平台等等。未来还有更多精彩值得期待。

The proposed landscape improvements for phase 2 focus on circulation, storm water treatment, and programming. These improvements include: a new entry stair and ramp; a new retaining wall and raised planters; a raised bioretention planter; new hard scape around the new building; a new ADA accessible pathway; a relocated school garden; and two deck features on the east side of the campus.

Ο 「都柏林医疗园区」

Kaiser Medical Offices and Cancer Center

都柏林医疗园区占地40英亩，第一期包括MOB医疗大楼和癌症中心。整体以雨水花园为主题，将场地与历史地貌联系起来，为一系列治疗和健康花园空间提供结构框架。

RHAA worked with Kaiser Permanente and SmithGroup JJR to develop a new medical campus in Dublin to serve the Tri Valley area. The new 40 acre site is being developed in 3 phases with the first phase consisting of a MOB medical building and a Cancer Specialty Center. Working closely with SmithGroup JJR and Sherwood Design Engineers, RHAA developed a concept that celebrates storm water conveyance as gardens. This not only connects the site to the historical geography, but it also provides a framework for a series of therapeutic and wellness garden rooms.

园区内部多样交错的花园空间有助于患者及其他用户们进行户外身体锻炼和各种活动，同时为了帮助患者多多亲近大自然，RHAA还在项目中融入了全新的生态街景。

These rooms allow physical activity, and exposes the users to nature. RHAA also designed new streetscape landscaping as part of this project.

没有过于高大的乔木和紧密的植物群落，开阔疏朗的空间让温暖的阳光洒遍花园的每个角落，用舒适的环境为患者带来疗愈效果。

There are no overly tall trees and close plant communities, and the open and spacious space allows warm sunlight to spread across every corner of the garden, bringing healing effects to patients with a comfortable environment.

Ο 「海沃德图书馆广场」

Hayward Library and Heritage Plaza

海沃德图书馆和遗址广场是一个重要的市政项目，不仅要更新老化的公共基础设施，还要充分打造美好环境帮助激活海沃德市中心。因此对于这个项目，设计团队在前期重点聚焦未来的图书馆和公园人群，开展了一系列社区活动和研讨会。大众也展现出对这个项目的强烈兴趣，纷纷踊跃参与社区会议展望未来。

The Hayward Library and Heritage Plaza is a major civic project designed to update aging public infrastructure and help activate Hayward’s downtown. The design process was a model of collaboration. The Design Team embarked on a series of community events and workshops focused on the future library and park. Due to intense interest in the project, community meetings were well attended.

广场的整体融入了可持续性的创新系统，街对面的新图书馆和停车场结构都可用于收集雨水，并统一汇流到位于中央公园草坪区域下方的一系列蓄水池中。这些蓄水池建于原图书馆的地下室，不会影响整体结构和美观。

The design included innovation in sustainability. A system was developed that captured the rainwater from the new library and parking structure across the street and collected it in a series of cisterns located under the central park lawn area, in the basement of the former library structure.

RHAA的设计不仅为图书馆工作人员和周边社区居民创造了一个美丽的开放空间，也为全中心居民带来了一个惬意的游逛目的地。广场中央的大草坪可以用于社区活动，以及草坪旁的铺装广场作为活动空间的额外补充。现在这个新公园已经成为市民们日常散步、庆祝活动使用的高频场所，也是都市人群远离城市生活的避难所。

The design creates a beautiful open space for the downtown residents and workers. It includes an event lawn for community events, plus a paved plaza for additional activation space. The lawn is ringed by electrical access, theater lighting and grass pave to support vehicles for events. This new park has become a place for public events, daily strolls, celebrations, and a refuge from urban life.
