Luciano Giubbilei:One of the smallest gardens Luciano has created is also a very significant project. It is a garden that paved the way for future collaboration with artists and provided a symbolic link between his studies and his life as a successful garden designer.

The garden was treated like a room, and can be seen in its entirety from the main living space through a wall of glass sliding doors. The only furniture sits on the deck, backed by elegant clay pots holding clipped lavender. Luciano retained the existing cherry tree and planted a dark Taxus hedge as a neutral backdrop to the sculptures and framed the garden with lines of pleached trees Pyrus “Chanticleer” planted between two clipped Buxus hedges, the trees and the hedges were used to contain the space and to frame the sculptural composition. The finish space is intimate, the sculptures are inviting the visitors to explore making a connection between the interior and the garden.
