阡上景观：传统语境中的庭院代表心灵的庇护所，正如中国传统园林，多为文人雅士追求自然、避世归隐之所。庭院自古被赋予很多文化属性：步移景异、别有洞天、曲径通幽……往往这些手法被反复运用，从中又衍生出各种表现样式，往往观赏性大于功能性。
DS Landscape Architecture：Courtyard in the traditional context represents a refuge for the soul, such as traditional Chinese gardens, which are mostly places where literati get close to nature and escape from the world. Courtyards have been endowed with many cultural attributes: creating different scenery as you walk, making unique places, setting winding paths leading to secluded areas… These techniques are often used repeatedly, and various expression styles are derived from them, which are often more ornamental than functional.

现代语境中的庭院是什么样式？一方庭院不仅仅是建筑的外延，更是承载生活的场所。它代表对生活的态度，也展现对生活的理解。此庭院面积不大，我们希望以简约、艺术为切入点营造独特的场地气质。
What does a courtyard look like in a modern context? A courtyard is not only an extension of the building, but also a place for life. It represents not only the attitudebut also the understanding of life. This courtyard is not large in area, and we hope to create a unique site temperament with simplicity and art.

别致 Chic
有法无式格自高。每个庭院都应有自己独特的气质，原因在于使用者和环境的不同。不追求流行样式，不墨守成规，从基本条件入手，与环境对话。
Great taste exists wherethere are laws but no formats. Every courtyard should have its own unique character, depending on the user and site context. Don’t pursue popular styles, don’t stick to conventions, start with basic conditions, and dialogue with the environment.

虽然这里距离乌镇咫尺之遥，周边江南水乡气质也很浓厚，然而我们并没有从文化和传统入手，而是试图摆脱这些束缚。场地周围植物浓密，设计没有将自然延续到里面，而是反其道而行之，用干净的景墙将自然隔绝在外，如此场地嵌入到自然中被自然包裹，加之潺潺的流水声打破了场地的宁静。干净与繁茂，动与静，使内外空间形成了鲜明的对比。
Although it is a short distance from Wuzhen and the surrounding Jiangnan water towns have a strong atmosphere, we did not start with culture and tradition, but tried to get rid of these constraints. There are dense plants around the site. We did not extend nature into the site, but rather using neat landscape walls to isolate the space from nature. In this way, the site is embedded in and wrapped by nature. In addition, the sound of gurgling water breaks up the tranquility of the site. The cleanliness and lushness, the movement and stillness create a sharp contrast between the interior and exterior spaces.

淡雅 Elegant
真正的美不需要浓妆艳抹。去繁就简、低调内敛、追求本质，美就自然而生。小庭院没有夸张的形式，以白色砾石为基底，台阶、水景、雕塑、植物被简单的体块统一在一起。克制过度的设计欲望，不做张扬的造型和繁琐的细节，转而关注比例尺度，一切点到为止。甚至只用芝麻灰、葡萄牙米黄、白色砾石三种材料塑造空间，尽量排除不必要的装饰。春夏秋冬四季轮转，小院就如雕塑一般凝固在这里，植物也成为雕塑的一部分。
True beauty does not require heavy makeup. Be simple, low-key and restrained, pursue essence, and beautifulness will emerge naturally. The small courtyard has no exaggerated form. Steps, water features, sculptures, and plants are unified by simple volumes based on white gravels. Restrain excessive design desires, avoid ostentatious shapes and tedious details, and instead focus on proportions and scale, and stop designing at the right spot. We only use three materialssesame ash granite, portuguese beige granite and white gravel to shape the space, and unnecessary decorations are eliminated as much as possible. While the seasons change, the courtyard is frozen here like a sculpture, and the plants also become part of the sculpture.

“慢”步” Slowly” walking
低调的木门掩映在绿荫中，推开院门，叠级水台引导人缓缓步入其中。走在白色砾石上沙沙作响，就如行走在沙滩上一般。雕塑、水台、吧台都沿墙设置，成为室内的背景，也为场地留出足够的活动空间。
The humble wooden door is hidden in the greenery. When the courtyard door is opened, the cascading water platform guides people to slowly step inside. Walking on the white gravel rustles like walking on the beach. Sculptures, water tables, and bars are all set along the walls, becoming the background of the indoor and leaving enough space for activities.

白色雕塑和水台始终静止在这里，记录着周围的时光流转。水渠被刻意拉长嵌入到吧台中，使人在闲坐时可感受时间的流逝。尽端的构筑被外围植物环绕，是会客和休闲之所。阳光明媚时节，漫无目的的闲坐其中，思绪伴随着流水奔向远方。让步子慢下来，也让心灵慢下来，用心感受生活，感受家的温暖，这是我们设计的初衷。小庭院也如人，慢慢与环境融合，也与生活融为一体，成为家的一部分，与家人一同成长。
The white sculptures and water tables are always stationary here, recording the flow of time around them. The water channel is deliberately elongated and embedded into the bar, allowing people to feel the passage of time while sitting. The structure at the end is surrounded by peripheral plants and is a place for guests and relaxation. During the sunning time, one can sit there aimlessly with thoughts flow into the distance along with the flowing water. Slow down your pace, slow down your mind, experience life with your heart, and feel the warmth of home. This is the original intention of our design. Small courtyards are like people, slowly integrating with the environment and life, becoming part of the home and growing together with the family.

“拾”光” Pick up” light
小庭院尽量留白处理，像凝固的雕塑，也是光影的容器。“光”是这里的精灵，跳跃在其中。有了它，小院就更有生命力和厚重感。光影透过稀疏的枝叶洒在地上，印在墙上，干净的场地都是它挥毫泼墨的地方。
The small courtyard was left as blank as possible, like a solid sculpture and a container of light and shadow. “Light” is the spirit here, jumping around inside. With it, the courtyard will have more vitality and depth. The light and shadow shine on the ground through the sparse branches and leaves and are imprinted on the wall. The clean place is where it splashes ink.

感想 Thoughts
小院和人一样，也需要慢慢的成长。设计师只是赋予它一个雏形，更重要的是后期业主的精心呵护。这个小项目从2019年1月设计到2023年最终完成，历时4年，期间业主付出了巨大的精力。这个小院子就像她的孩子一样，在她的呵护下越来越好。向业主致敬！
Small courtyards, like people, also need to grow slowly. The designer only gave it a prototype, and more importantly, the owner took careful care of it. This small project lasted 4 years from design in January 2019 to final completion in 2023, during which the owner put in a lot of effort. This small yard is like her child, getting better and better under her care. Hats off to the owner!
