空气墙建筑工作室：重庆的地势造就了层层叠叠的城市空间，每当夜晚的灯光亮起，流动的霓虹灯下，光怪陆离，引人深陷其中，仿佛置身于另一个宇宙。立体山水城市在动静之间，浪漫繁华。在网络时代的浪潮中，滋养了一批对重庆这座城市着迷的摄影艺术家和插画家们，创作出了“8D魔幻城市”，“赛博朋克2077“等先锋概念。赋予了重庆这座山地城市全新的城市空间文化。
AirWall Architecture Office：Chongqing’s topography creates layers of urban space. When the lights on at night, the flowing neon lights are so dazzling and bizarre that people are trapped in, as if they were in another universe. The 3D mountain city is romantic and prosperous between static and dynamic scenes. In the wave of the Internet era, it has nurtured a batch of photographers and illustrators who are fascinated by the city of Chongqing. They have created the pioneering concepts such as “8D Magical City” and “Cyberpunk 2077”, which gives Chongqing a brand new urban spatial culture in this mountainous city.
网络时代将社会碎片化，被科技与虚拟世界割裂并异化的年轻人，精神上却向往一处带着回忆的故乡。我们在寻找一处带有时间温暖印记的实体空间，来容纳孤独精神宇宙中游荡徘徊的年轻灵魂。
The Internet age has fragmented the society. Young people who are separated and alienated by technology and the virtual world yearn for a hometown with memories in spirit. We are looking for a physical space with the warm imprint of time to accommodate the wandering young souls in the lonely spiritual universe.
下浩老街的朋克精神 Punk Spirit of Old XiaHao Lane
把痛苦放入冰箱，把快乐存进银行。–下浩六哥
下浩正街的陈孃嬢与两个儿子靠低保生活，但她依然喜欢诗歌和朗诵，诗歌和朗诵撑起她的人生。每当夜晚降临，饱含感情的朗读声在老街上回响。老街有一面“诗墙”，诗的作者下浩六哥是铭牌厂一位普通的刻章工人，他在自己的介绍中说到“不是我太爱诗，是诗，一直不忍心抛弃我。”
在下浩，几十年前的老房子住过什么样的人，2023年这里又将迎来什么样的有趣灵魂？带来什么样的新印记？或许对于老下浩，我们是外来者；但是对于我们，这里却是一种注定的回归。
Put the pain in the refrigerator, and save the happiness in the bank.- XiaHao Sixth Brother
Ms. Chen of old XiaHao lane lives on subsistence allowance with her two sons, but she still likes poetry and recitation, and uses poetry and recitation to support her life. During the night the sound of emotional reading echoed in the old street. There is a “poem wall” at the old street, the author of the poem XiaHao sixth brother is a common seal engraver. “It’s not that I love poetry too much,” he said in his introduction, “but that poetry has never had the heart to abandon me.”
In XiaHao Lane, what kind of people lived in the old house decades ago, and what kind of interesting souls will be welcomed in 2023? What kind of new marks will they bring? Perhaps for the old XiaHao Lane, we are outsiders, but for us, this place is some kind of destined return.
虚实之间的太空港湾 The Space Harbor between the Virtual and the Reality
未来感与怀旧感的相遇
“重庆最后的老街”下浩里，在重庆来福士广场、东水门大桥等“城市巨构物“的对比下，仿佛成了城市中虚实之间最后的港湾。而我们就像那漫无目的游鸟，飞得累了，偶然降落在某个不知名的小行星，走出环状的飞行器，发现这里原来是一处跟失落的故乡一样的星球。
Encountering of the Future and History
XiaHao Lane is “The last old street in Chongqing” described by National Geographic Magazine. In contrast to Chongqing Raffles City Square, DongShuiMen Bridge and other massive “urban mega-structure”, seems to have become the last harbor between the virtual and reality in the city. And we are like that aimless wandering birds, tired of flying, accidentally landing on some unknown asteroid, walking out of the circular aircraft, you would found it is a planet like the lost hometown.
在这里，我们立足于下浩里老山城文化本身，用来自未来的技术重新想象过去，并由此创造一个从未发生的过去，复原往昔时代的技术梦想。在 “8D魔幻城市” 的未来感与老山城的怀旧感碰撞下，我们期望以“复古太空”的手法，将具有未来科技感的星环与下浩里老街产生戏剧化对比，使得来访者在感受这里时代变迁的过程中，主动回首过去对未来的想象。
同时，对于老街来说，新的到访者带来了更年轻化的新事物，融入城市咖啡，年轻的品牌设计，展开文化、艺术、创意和音乐的交流。城市更新不仅仅在于对物质的翻新，更重要的是为老空间注入当代的文化和内容，新的到访者会为老城市注入新鲜的血液。
We base on the mountain-city culture of XiaHao lane here, reimagine the past with the technology represent the future, and thus create a past that has never happened to restore the technological dream of the past. In the collision sense of future and history in this “8D Magic City” mountain city, we hope to borrow the concept of retro-futurism to create a dramatic contrast between the “outer-space invasion” star ring and the old district XiaHao Lane, so that visitors can re-experience the past space and re-imagine the description of the future in the past time.
On the other hand, for the old district environment, new visitors bring new and young stuffs. This space now integrated with new café, new branding culture and architectural design office, to expand the communication of art, aesthetics, culture and music. Urban Renewal is not only the renovation of the materiality, but more importantly, it is to inject modern activities and culture into the old space. New visitors will bring fresh blood to the old district.

项目本身属于历史建筑保护街区，每一个老房子都有其人文历史价值，我们在设计之初就定下“置入”的策略而非改变和破坏。让新的现代文化与历史人文对话是本项目设计的初衷。
The project located in the historical building conservation area, and we believe that each old building has its own cultural and historical value. At the beginning of the design process, we set the strategy of “inserting” rather than replacing or destroying. The original intention is to make a conversation between the modern culture and the spirit of history.

环形构筑物的灵感来源于包围行星的星环，将院子与建筑的空间相融合，增强项目场域感，成为整个空间的精神象征——游鸟们将聚集在星环下栖息生活。
The annular structure is inspired by the star ring surrounding the planets, which integrates the space of yard and old building, enhance the field of the project and to become the spiritual symbol of the surrounding areas —— the community will be gathered under the star ring for resting and living.
虚实之间 Between Virtual and Reality
项目保留了原建筑外观与材质，不进行大幅改动，用构筑物和视觉元素进行新与旧的碰撞。
The project retains the original façade and material, avoiding significant change, inserting new installations and visual elements in the old building, creating contrast between the old and new.

新建的星环构筑物与原有的三颗树木形成“退让”与“围合”的关系，将周围植被融于设计主体之中，打造可持续发展的空间环境，展现出与自然环境的良性过渡。
The new star-ring installation and the three original trees form a relationship between “concession” and “enclosure”, integrating greenery into the design to create a sustainable environment and a gentle transition from the nature to the artificial structure.
▽咖啡店入口的固定座椅 Seats at the entrance of café
我们将入口两个小门洞打开，连成一整片通透的入口，改善采光的同时将内外空间的视觉连通,院子成为了室内可观的一片景观。
We combined the two original small doors into one whole transparent entrance, improving the lighting and creating the visual connections between the interior and exterior, so the people inside can enjoy the landscape in the yard.

环形构筑物下方可悬挂临时展板，作为展览活动的室外部分，从建筑伸出的斜屋顶在遮雨的同时引导人们上到屋顶天台。
Panels can be hung under the circular structure temporarily as part of the possible exhibitions and events. The pitched metal canopy stretched out from the gap of building can lead people up to the rooftop.
▽咖啡区室内 Interior of cafe
咖啡品牌的视觉调性核心体现为年轻、潮流、创意、有趣和交流，空间打造以极简、几何、纯粹的黑白灰与品牌视觉调性呼应。
这里将展现毫不拘束的氛围，容纳自由交流的思想，浓郁的咖啡香气中，或许我们会再次变为一只幼鸟，像新生儿般重新认识世界。
The idea of the coffee branding is young, fashion, creativity, fun and communication. The interior design uses minimalist, geometric and monochrome, reflecting the core of the coffee branding.
There will be an uninhibited atmosphere to contain the idea of free communication. In the rich aroma of coffee, maybe we will become a young bird again, knowing the world again like a newborn baby.
▽咖啡区材质细节 Material of the bar counter
从地面延续到吧台立面的火山岩砖，材质本身特有的空洞肌理呼应了整个场地的自然山地氛围，质朴舒适。粗粝的质感和墙面水泥的自然处理，旨在让人联想到此处旧建筑的历史记忆。火山岩材料本身具有隔音降噪，保温隔热的优点，是绿色环保的自然材料。在历史保护的自然山地之中，我们希望建筑从里到外都尊重自然和人文地理。
The lava stone tiles extended from the ground to the bar counter, the unique texture with small holes of the material echoes the natural mountainous atmosphere of the site, which is simple and comfortable. The rough texture and natural cement surfacing of wall are designed to evoke the memory of the old buildings here. The lava stone material itself has the advantages of sound insulation and noise reduction, heat preservation and insulation, and environment-friendly. In this natural mountainous site with authentic history, we hope the architecture to respect nature and geography from both interior and exterior.
创意孵化 Creativity Incubator
办公区设计了几何感的木质的展示架，将原建筑地面与顶棚进行打磨清洁，还原老房子的质感的同时增加现代舒适度。
The office area is designed with layers of geometric timber demonstrate shelves. The original floor and ceiling are polished and cleaned to restore the texture of the old building while increasing comfort for daily using.

▽墙面处理细节 Details of wall surfacing
保留建筑原有梁柱混凝土质感，与白色水泥基墙面拉开差距，表现出简洁有力的几何构成关系。本地人工对墙面处理出自然不雕饰的质感，体现时间的温度，有效的控制了预算。
The texture of the original concrete beams and columns in the building is reserved to contrast with the white cement wall surface, showing a simple however powerful geometric composition. The surfacing of wall by local craftsmen reflecting a natural texture and the temperature of time, avoiding complicated decoration marks. At the same time, it controls the budget effectively.
在屋顶唱着你的歌 Relaxing on the rooftop
原建筑楼梯上至二层的公共墙体开门洞，连接增设的楼梯。
In order to add connection to the rooftop, a hole was opened up on the wall of 2nd floor public space.
在建筑背面增设上屋顶的轻钢楼梯并与中间公共楼梯连通，将二楼至屋顶露台的交通流线变得连续直接，最大限度的归纳了功能空间。
On the backside of the building, a lightweight steel staircase is added and connected with the original stairs, which makes the walking flow continuous and direct from the second floor to the rooftop, and minimize the circulation space.

改造二层休息平台原有窗洞将其扩大为落地景窗，利用框景的手法，将最好的江景纳入建筑空间内，几何简约的窗框造型在老建筑上不显突兀。
We opened up the small window on the second floor, change it to a viewing platform. The most iconic two rivers joint view is bringing into the building. Also the geometric and simple window frame fits in the old building very well.
改造后的屋顶作为整个项目的结尾，以瞭望台的形式对场所关系进行重塑，拥有极佳的观景视野。
The rooftop serves as the end space of the entire experience, reshaping the site in the form of a watchtower with excellent vision.

天台增设水吧、轻钢柱、栏杆与固定边坐，连桥将两个屋面连接，增大观景平台。屋顶作为老街与江景在天际线上的交界点以现代化的城市为背景，让来访者重新思考城市的更新与变迁。
Handrails, rooftop connection, concrete wash area and seats are added on the rooftop space. The rooftop plays a role as the junction of the old district and the river view on the skyline, takes the modern city as the background to inspire visitors to rethink the changing of the city.
游鸟聚落×空间再生 The Habitat of Wandering Birds × Reborn of Space
往日浪潮不断拍打着龙门码头已繁华落幕，星环在老城新生。
一群年轻、先锋、文艺的游鸟在星环下建立城市更新再生基地，开展身份认同计划，共同推动公共艺术与建筑文化的交融互动。
Waves from the past constantly beat the wharf of LongMen, which the prosperously has been ended. However, the star ring is newborn in the old town.
A group of young, pioneering, literary and artistic traveling birds establish an urban renewal and regeneration base under the star ring, carry out identity programs, and jointly promote the integration and interaction of public art and architectural culture.
