MPG摩高景观设计：大唐盛世，灿烂繁华，政治经济的繁荣，带动了文化艺术的繁荣，在这开元盛世，政通人和之际，诗词歌赋也迎来了它的鼎盛时期，文人墨客们在自然山水中找到了他们的精神家园，穷尽笔墨描写了心中的理想之所，受文人雅士的影响，唐朝文人园林逐渐萌芽，由此形成了清幽澹雅\模山范水的自然山水园。
MPG Group: Envisioned as a place to relax the mind and fill the soul, Oasis Hot Springs Resort Hotel is a therapeutic destination modeled through one of the most revered Chinese empires, the Tang Dynasty. From 618 to 907, this period of rule not only recognized China as the most powerful and prosperous country in the world, it acknowledged the classical high period of Chinese art and literature. The imperial monarchy set high standards for cultural efflorescence in a cosmopolitan style, and artistic development flourished, to which later poets, painters, and sculptors aspired.

“洲颐”象征着“相聚一起，颐养康乐”。“洲”，取自《诗经·尔雅》意为聚。“颐”者，养也，出自《周易》，品味颐养之道，修身养性。
启东洲颐，位于有着长三角“长寿之乡”美名的启东元龙湾国际旅游度假区内，毗邻中国四大渔港之一吕四港，拥有高品质的天然深海温泉。是一处融合自然、人文，隐匿于黄海边的唐风雅居。我们希望借唐朝园林中理想的隐逸归处来为“洲颐”画像，以此描绘诗画情趣、意境涵蕴的生活畅想。
The Resort’s design is inspired from poetic stories, songs, and art, and the importance of having these necessary cultural influences underscore and support a healthy life balance; where hard work is offset with time necessary to reflect, renew, relax one’s spirit, and find inner peace, harmony, and tranquility. The Dynasty’s strength believed that a brilliant and prosperous society needs time to ease and slow down, thus enabling one to possess more energy, increased metabolism, improved memory, a more positive thought-process, and better decision-making capabilities.
The Oasis Hot Springs Resort Hotel is a “traditional seaside secret located in the city”. Being a noble place reserved for individual contemplation, discovery, validity, and interpretation, it is located at the Yuanlong Bay International Tourism Area of Qidong, along the Yangtze River Delta outside of Nantong. The site encompasses over 30,150㎡of area, complete with 36 palatial villas and 89 elegant and well-appointed waterfront guest rooms. The Resort’s name is derived from the abundance of high-quality deep-sea hot springs that naturally flow into the local ecosystem. It is a beautiful, picturesque, and secluded area; the perfect retreat to take care of one’s self and cultivate one’s morality (as these are important human characteristics to pursue and maintain within Chinese culture). Water here takes center-stage, as its qualities and attributes are numerous – it is diverted to exhibit distance and openness from which elegant garden spaces are defined; its flow infiltrates to support life within it and around it, and its purity, clarity, and richness of minerals reflects the desire to use it extensively as natural elixir to cleanse and detoxify the body and mind.
水在传统园林中不仅是只是一个物象的名词，更是浸润了文人雅士对世事万物的哲思。在唐朝，不论是别业山居还是宫苑游苑，水景常以其开阔辽远占据园林中的重要地位。
在挖掘场地的资源和探索唐朝文化的过程中，我们将酒店内的温泉与周边河流资源进行整合，将“水”作为设计切入点，打造完整的中央水系。以大堂为起点，水流一路而下串联堂—社区中心、街—风情商业、铺—特色店铺、栈—精品民宿，实现空间与景观的强链接。将唐长安城的里坊、市落于场地，打造出具有新唐风特色的旅游度假区。
Water offers dynamic views that reflect the landscape, enlarging it as it mirrors and feeds the densely vegetative surroundings and architecture as it embraces the horizon. It portrays itself primary as design expression; it is also utilized as a functional interconnected system of stormwater drainage, required on-site retention, and bioremediation. Water connects all Resort programmatic elements that guests will utilize to make their stay memorable and rewarding.
The Resort’s garden spaces offer passive meditative journeys of personal contemplation and exploration, one step at a time, as one follows along the gently curved perimeter that softly fluctuates in elevation. The landscape design is supplemented through contrasting tactile elements of soft vertical planting and hard structures, organized accordingly to direct clear spatial movements.
第一幕：礼序迎宾
袭承唐代建筑大气、蓬勃、开放的特点，将唐朝门第礼序应用在大堂，营造尊贵与仪式感，对称式礼仪入口引领宾客进入大堂，给人以大方、庄重的印象。
The Resort’s architectural style is reflective of the structures built under the Tang Dynasty. Central to that is the importance of a grand ceremonial entrance and greeting, the point where one begins their transitional journey to relieve and eliminate stress and engage inner relaxation.

中庭在一片开阔的水域中彰显深沉、包容，富丽堂皇的紫云阁与水面倒影交相辉映。后场，罗汉松与山石组合的盆景尽显禅意，为庭院增添几许风雅。
The Hotel Atrium houses a Ziyun Pavilion that engages the water’s edge. The symmetrical ceremonial entrance leads guests into the Hotel lobby, expressing a sense of dignity while giving people the impression of generosity and gravitas.
第二幕：坊院街市
温泉酒店临水而居，特色商铺临街而开，溪流、小桥、亭台点缀其间，在氤氲的水汽与葱郁的草木间，为旅居者提供一种追随本心，轻松闲适的生活方式。

第三幕：林泉草木
从唐朝文人雅士的山水诗文出发，将诗文中的草木情怀融入景观设计中，营造野趣、自然的景观空间。乘一叶扁舟，歌弹一曲，耳得之为声，目遇之成色，取之无尽，用之不竭。
In order to provide a more cohesive design intent, literal narrative descriptions derived from the poetry, song, and art developed during the Dynasty are depicted in the landscape: “The wind blows the green willow, the white water reflects the red peach…””…boat line on the blue waves, people in the middle of the painting…”

第四幕：幽栖之所
小扣柴扉，推门而入，在青苔留痕处感受采菊东篱，忽见南山的悠然、恬静。酒店环水而建，温泉通达入户，庭院内以沙代水，以石代山，营造出的枯山水景观，给人以安宁悠远的禅意之境。
Here , materials are substituted (which is normal) to reflect similar representational qualities. Materials are substituted into metaphors they represent: Sand is gently raked to reveal waves or ripples on a water surface; stacked stone elements are used to represent surrounding mountains.

第五幕：匠心巧构
设计中提取唐风景物的色彩意向、体量比例，将唐风构筑融入到林泉草木中，凭栏小憩或桥上徐行，与周边环境浑然一体，自成天然之趣。
From the surveyed guests, it appears that twilight is the most contemplative time to fully experience the Oasis Hot Springs Resort Hotel and its vast offerings. The gradual dim of a darkening skylight, with lanterns flickering their mirrored light on glass-like water planes, the songs of birds preparing for night, and the scant scent of jasmine perfuming the air, it is a special time and place to renew one’s mind, body, soul, and spirit.
林泉为伴，清风相随，以泉石竹树养心，借诗酒琴书怡性。洲颐，歌唱生活的散文诗。
Refreshing the mind by using the spring, stone, bamboo and trees and cultivating one’s morality by poetry and liquor. The Oasis Hot Springs Resort Hotel, a prose poem singing about life.
